Update - towing company number 4 knew what he was doing. He said that what normally happens is that Porsche roadside shop to the lowest bidder and they normally can't handle the more complex jobs. He said when a few fail to deliver it gets escalated and someone from Porsche customer service...
What a sags this is tunring into. In fairness, Porsche Roadside assistance have been polite and have correctly asked for trucks with the right equipment. But the responders accept the job without reading the notes. The third guy was on his way and verified he couldnt do it if the car would not...
2nd truck showed up. Couldn’t get it going either. Connected his charger to the car for 10 mins but the dash and pcm are still refusing to fire. He thinks there is some issue with the software. Third tow truck has been ordered…
Of course, the Porsche dealer closed at 5 and haven’t been able to...
Tow truck is not here yet. First guy tried to charge from the front of the car but it didn't achieve anything. The next guy says he has a different charger which should work. Waiting to see.
Like you said, frunk opens, doors unlock, lights come on etc. But the dash and PCM are completely dead.
Power is still there. I can open the trunk and the trunk, unlock the car etc but the pcm and main dash are completely off. So I cannot move the car to neutral
Called roadside back and they are dispatching someone who can deal with a dead Taycan. At least I hope so.
My car spat out multiple red and yellow errors as being parked in my driveway - electrical system error, engine control error, motor control error, couldnt engage gears, parking brake not working. I managed to get it parked by reversing and then park did engage. When I switched it off and left...
Good idea, I will give that a try. It is possible that squeezing the cable through the centre console has damaged it. Charging works fine and it still doesn't resolve my issue with wireless/bluetooth connectivity but worth a shot.
I did, do you think that is the issue? Today initially it didnt connect and then later it connected via USB but not via bluetooth.
I upgraded iOS about a week ago. The problem started a few weeks before that but had stabilised a bit. It resurfaced and got worse a couple of days ago
I don’t have a dash cam or any other tech in the car. In the past, when connected to CarPlay, my phone WiFi connection would show as greyed out rather than blue. If I clicked on the wifi icon, it would say “would you like to disconnect CarPlay”. Lately it would show as blue when connected to...
MY22 4S, Carplay has mostly worked flawlessly for me since I got the car. Any occasional issues were fixed when the car was turned off or phone turned off.
About a month ago, Carplay would connect as usual and then just decide to disconnect. Sometimes it would not happen until I had been...
I can maybe save you the trouble. I have left the annoying alert without following the instructions. I went to my local EA and charged as normal with no issues and no charges. Still within my 3 years. Did I hear some people say that Porsche was offering an additional year of charging?
I didn’t change anything as far as charging goes. Every year, I get a notification to renew services - I think it is charging and the My Porsche app - which is on the anniversary of my purchase in December.
Plug and charge works well for me at Electrify America so I’m reluctant to touch...
Thanks for the responses. I don’t see any emails or correspondence from Porsche on this and I haven’t changed anything on the charging side to prompt this message.
If I understand correctly, what you’re both saying is I am safe to follow the instructions and uninstall the certificate. I’m in...
I serached for this and can see no topics in the forum. When I open the My Porsche app and navigate to charging, there is a little red dot on the settings icon. When I select this, it has a message "Uninstall Plug & Charge Certificate". When I select it, I get another screen telling me that if...
Latest update. This is a weird “fix” for the multiple sensor related issues. At least for now. When the car turns on, the amber/yellow warning comes on in the dash, bottom left (pic of car with line through it and the lanes on either side of the car).
I noticed that if I put the car in gear...
Well cleaning the cameras didn’t fix and the CarPlay issue is reoccurring even though I removed the phone and removed the Taycan from the phone as well. Also rebooted PCM.
The WBA and other issues seem to not happen initially after an overnight. then after I park and go back, the issue...
Thank you. This happened last night and I had a feeling that cleaning the camera would fix it but I thought I would add it in case it was related to the CarPlay issue. I couldn’t find the CarPlay issue based on the message I got which surprised me. (“Please enable” etc)
