I built my car with the screen, at the end of the day if you are spending over $100K for a car does another $1K or so ready matter?
Go for it, the screen just adds another level of "coolness" to the car!
And know that the screen only works when someone is sitting in the passenger seat...
I don't have a neighbor that has one but someone who works in a "strip club" we pass when we go to Costco has one and I always slow down to admire it! The first few times my wife just looked at me then she said why do you keep slowing down and looking every time we pass this place. Oops I can...
Thats odd, I placed my order on 12/31 and on 1/3 I got the link to see my build. The freeze date was two days later and del. 3/18. I did get lucky as the dealer in Cherry Hill NJ said the day I placed the order was the last day they had for an or allocation. I think thats why mine is shorter...
I went to my local dealer to buy a 2021 with only 2100 miles but they wanted way more for a used car on the lot than if I were to go home and build one. All three local dealers had no new RWD's on the lot. All the used cars (only 2 from three dealers) wanted so much more than a new car.
I am...
Looks really nice! How long did you have to wait from order to delivery?
I ordered my RWD on 12/31/21 and its showing a 3/11/22 delivery. The wait is a killer!
Enjoy the ride!
Thank you, I am so glad to hear the positive feedback. Seemed like a nice unit but had mixed reviews on Amazon so I wanted to check here for a “real” experience feedback.
I will differently order one.
I do plan to use the free charging unit that comes with the car. I have three homes we travel to so was thinking I would use a base charger in our main house just in case I forget to put the car charger back when we leave the beach house.
Does anyone have any experience charging the Taycan with a Grizzl-E Level 2 charger?
I have seen many chargers recommended within the Forum but I have not heard of this unit until looking on Amazon for a good (basic) home charger. I really don't need the wifi connection just a good charger...
I am waiting for my 22 to arrive in March but I just had a 50A breaker installed to a 14/50 NEMA plug using 6 gauge wire. I am planning to use the cord that comes with the car to connect/charge. No box!
We are coming....I just ordered my 2022 RWD, target date for pick up is March 11th. I am in NJ just outside of Philadelphia.
Can't wait to get behind the wheel!
I just had a 50A breaker installed then added a NEMA 14 /50 outlet using 6 gauge wire to charge my new Taycan. Will the system (plug/cord) that comes with the car work for this set up? I am hoping to see 8-9KW going to the car.
Thoughts?
Thanks
