Just got an email from PEC-Atlanta to schedule delivery. Not sure if that means they really expect to have the car by then or if they're just guessing.
I agreed to wait until the next prediction on TYD in exchange for a six thousand dollar discount. I have no particular reason to think that prediction is realistic though, so I'm already looking around for plan B.
The manager at my dealership was able to talk to the people at the port, and they confirmed they're still waiting on the battery check. They gave no timeline for completion or eventual release (TYD shows a new date of 10/27, but I'm sure that's meaningless).
The dealership is willing to give...
Well, October 6 is here, and TYD has given up making predictions and now just says the "next milestone is in sight." Neither my salesperson nor PEC Atlanta admit to knowing what is going on. Why they can't just call up the people at the port of Jacksonville and ask is left unexplained...
Good to know there is actually progress being made on this. I have no expectation that my car will get sprung loose on its predicted date this week (according to TYD; the My Porsche app lists the next step as "unscheduled" which sounds more likely), but maybe getting closer.
Reasonable minds can differ of course, but the Lotus Emeya is a great looking car in my opinion. On the other hand, one suspects that Lotus EV reliability will be a special kind of hell.
This is hilarious. "Other than that Mrs Lincoln, how was the play?" The amount of defects EV owners accept as normal would never fly elsewhere. Yes yes, "new technology" and all that, but still.
To your actual situation, to me there's no comparison in the appearance department. BMWs are...
Changing color options isn't unique to Porsche, for sure. Just curious to me that they removed some without adding anything else. I didn't even see the Mamba green as a PTS option, although they're a zillion variations on green that it's probably not that big a deal.
The real crime is that...
Interesting. My experience was very different. I put the deposit down in September of 2022, but the "Purchase Order Confirmed" date was set when I got the allocation in February of 2023. From there it was only like ten days to the freeze date.
Did your sales person tell you that, or did you get someone from Big Porsche to give you some info? Not surprised that there are delays resolving the delays.
