After loving our 2022 Taycan CT4 for over a year but limiting our exploring to round trip drives in coastal Maine within the capability of our beautiful Gentian blue car we decided to venture into the world of charging away from home. Admittedly because we had had several misadventures at our...
I had a similar dilemma and decided on a CT4 with which I am delighted. I think the deciding factors primarily are: is cost differential important to you and which car is more visually appealing. The CT 4 has more space and 4wd and I couldn’t discern any performance or handling superiority in...
To each his own. I am at the other end of the spectrum. I‘m 86 and have had a beautiful gentian blue CT 4 for 18 months and absolutely love it. Even this lowly beast has more than enough torque for anybody’s day to day driving. The ride and handling are better than any BMW, AUDI or MB I have...
Thanks. That is what I assumed but when I consulted the manual under “ using the emergency key” all I read was how to remove it and replace it in the vehicle key.. Am I correct in assuming the emergency key has no other role- I.e. starting the car etc?
This is probably a stupid question but after looking I have not been able to find what the purpose of the emergency key is. It’s clear how to remove it from the key fob but what emergency will it solve?? Thanks
Maine charges an annual excise tax ( in addition to the initial sales tax) which for a Taycan is over $2500 annually although is does drop a little each year as the car depreciates. No rebate for more expensive EVs but there is some break for less expensive ones.
Has anybody used this app? Does it work like google maps with turn by turn directions or does it lay out a scenic route that you then have to map out?
Thanks.
I’m back in the luck group. Once yesterday it reverted to car play and the other time it started with a favorite radio station so the apple update was a red herring I guess.
I live near the dealership in Falmouth and have had Audis and VW’s serviced there. They are building a new building for Porsches so I think they must be counting on increasing that side of their business. Service there has always been acceptable not exceptional. I bought my Taycan in New...
I’m also an old weak man and I’ve found the cable to be hard to twist with it being a minor aggravation in warm weather but in the winter it is a definite PITA. Not to be a sexist but I think this might be an important issue for the “ weaker sex” Just an opinion of an 86 year old Taycan lover?
As an 85 year old, I suspect I am not a typical EV owner nor am I an idiot ( although my wife might disagree) . I love my Taycan and I have driven it about 3000 miles in 4 months, It is by far the most fun to drive of any car I have ever owned. My perspective on this WSJ article is that...
