Totally agree. However, my decision to get the tracker post delivery was purely based on the current 70 week waiting list. Let the kids have their fun. Bit of smart paint work and alloy repair and a fumigation and it's as good as new.
Btw, the car won't get very far without the tracker fob...
In the name of science I popped over to Grays to Tesla charge. I preconditioned the battery to 31*c. As predicted 45kwh-50kwh without the 150 onboard booster. Of course Tesla is rumoured to upgrade to 800v at some point. Not a wasted trip. Lakeside shopping centre.
Like all discretionary consumer insurance it is a matter of personal opinion. I have always turned down warranty extensions / insurance for small ticket stuff. But, I have taken it out for my last 2 new cars and an Omega. You might want to consider the Porsche Tracker so you get the car back and...
What I am not clear is this.
1.Are all Tesla superchargers 400v?
2. What max charge will I get from a 400v SC without the 150 onboard booster
3. Will I get a potential 250kw from a 800v SC if they exist.
Tesla will open its vast network of superchargers to other makes of electric cars in a landmark move expected to increase the uptake of plug-in vehicles but prove unpopular with the brand’s customers.
The American manufacturer has launched a pilot in the UK that will open 15 charging stations...
UK Porsche tracker system. If the car moves without the tracker fob in it I get a call and they call the rozzers and disable the car. Best kept separate from car key hence the need for a holder to attach to house keys.
I recently signed up for the tracker as I don't want to wait 70 weeks if it gets nicked. The fob is annoying. So, as recommended elsewhere here I got a custom leather fob holder off those very distinguished Scottish leather experts https://www.mackenzieleatheredinburgh.com/
Delighted. Went red...
I didn't get the Sport Chrono with my RWD. I really don't see what the point of it is but then I am not a petrol head or Porsche heritage fanboy. My thought process was "wtf do I want a bloody great big old clock on the dash? It looks stoopid in a Taycan". More money to spend on 21" aeroblades!
Pano roof waste of money. Front passengers get no benefit. Would not spec it again.
Coils great. Air no need unless steep drive.

There are 2 dynamics in play. Yes BiK on a perceived benefit but more importantly the tax saved through salary sacrifice. Take someone on 120k. The tax rate between 100-120k is 60% as the taper kicks in. So that's 12k tax for 20k. If you take a lease at gross (say 1800 a month) that's 22k a year...
Actually the BIK is not binary. The fact is as long as it is less that 40%-60% you are still in the money. Even if BIK climbs to 30%, that's a potential saving still of 20% if you are paying 50% tax. So, still worth doing as you pay less tax. Right now I pay £10k less tax each year. Rising BIK...
I took it in. They plugged it into diagnostics for 20 mins. Did the fix. Took about 40 mins in total. SOS error sorted and SOS green light back on the button. It probably won’t fix itself. At which point they offered the instrument panel upgrade which I declined as it was another hour. I had...
