Mine has the same terrible whine, but good luck getting a dealer to say anything but "thats normal!" or "you must just have the sport sound on", it will take a lot of persistance, and requesting that techs drive two cars directly back to back. I've pretty much given up on trying to get Porsche...
Yes, that is what we assume too, but the confusion (and all the posts earlier in the thread), is that the Porsche USA configurator shows something completely different and illogical, with no supporting text. The configurator in other countries shows text highlighting similar to what is found on...
Check earlier in this thread, we were able to check on some other country verions of the configurator where they state exactly where stitch is, and it matches the GTS packages, and the config image in those countries show the same image as here, aka incorrectly.
Nah, the Red/Chalk GTS stitch package doesn't have stitching on the center console area. The UK/German sites accurately quote where stitching is expected. All the same places as the GTS carmine/chalk stuff. Thats precisely why I started to think the configurator was way off, and why I started...
Well my production photos rolled in last night. Can at least confirm now the GTS deviated stitch package does NOT have the stitching on the center console and lower dash like they show in the configuratior picture as I expected.
But the protective shield covers up that sweet sweet orange stitch...
I keep checking TYD for the production photos, so far just the body after paint going over the bridge, but I'm not holding my breath that will actually get to see the deviated stitch on the dashboard or anything in the production pics, probably will be covered by a guard. :(
Been like 6 months, my car is moving through production, but bumping to see if anyone has done this option yet, and if so, WE NEED PICS!
Still have yet to find a single Taycan with GTS deviated stitch option.
Mine started April 3rd, and the first picture just showed up on my app 2 days ago, just scroll all the way to the bottom of stage 4, or through the pics they post.
supposedly more pictures will populate as it moves through the line.
So that explains why the windshield nozzles froze up in a loaner used Cayenne I had in Chicago.... just looked up the carfax on it and it was registered in SoCal initially, ha.
Already come and gone apparently. I placed this order in November of 2021 when the GTS ST was announced. Finally got an allocation in November 2022 with a lock in early december, but since I had a few custom options (orange stitching) it apparently pushed my lock date out to Feb 11th. Dealer...
How do you guys get the TYD link? My dealer put in my order for my car feb 11th, but regarding the TYD stuff, my SA says “There's nothing we can do on our end. Porsche does it automatically. “
I’ve already got a Porsche account since have a CT4 currently, but haven’t gotten anything from...
Wow, literally the only thing I would agree with you on this option list is the Bose and RWS. ?
But that’s why it’s great we all have the ability to spec cars exactly how we want.
I’ve enjoyed HUDs in a few cars, but in the Taycan with how close the screen is within your field of view, and things like the speedometer at the top of the dash, it really just makes things super redundant.
I personally have HUD on my CT4 currently because it came with it, but on my GTS build...
FYI, the configurator renders the wrong image for the GTS deviated stitch. If you look at the UK configurator it outlines exactly what is in the deviated stitch GTS option:
" With decorative stitching in contrasting colour: dashboard upper section, upper section of door trims front and rear...
Read what I posted earlier. They are indeed not sealed units but instead have goretex patches to allow for the air to balance. Otherwise that moisture (which is impossible to prevent in large volumes of air like the headlights) would condensate over multiple cycles and then end up with water...
