I don't think the BP Pulse problem is limited to Porsche. I tried a few days ago with our other car on them and couldn't get it to charge either.
After trying 2 different chargers that failed to authenticate, I ended up creating a BP Pulse account, topped it up and that managed to start the...
My letter arrived in the post this morning for the WRS0.
It’s good to hear Porsche are actively tracking this and while it might be a slight inconvenience if it needs to go in for an update, it gives me another excuse to browse the showroom.
I can only echo what everybody else has said on here. It’s really easy to take apart, fit but getting that middle piece aligned is next to impossible. The whole installation took around 2 hours. This was 15 minutes to take apart, reinstall and connect everything up. Nearly 2 hours of trying to...
I didn't like paying for it, it is expensive, but I like the Google Maps overlay and tbh I didn't buy a Porsche to worry too much about finances.
Buying a Taycan is never going to be a sound financial decision (although you can argue the same point for all EV's) so the £279 was just another tax.
They are lovely cars - I nearly got one instead of the CT4S - drove really nice. The finances made more sense, its a quick car and I knew the tech as I'd had BMW's for 10+ years.
Mine was £89 plus an additional £30 for speed cameras.
I remember it "feeling" more expensive at the time.
Now you have reminded me of the £269 - its annoying me again as it is a rip off.
Hold out until the 22nd as that is the Porsche cyber week.

Just looked and last year they discounted it by 15%.
They usually offer 20% off the price as part of black Friday.
I understand people think its expensive - but no different to BMW - they do exactly the same - it all ends after 3 years. Then you have to pick and choose what you want to keep - map updates at X amount, live traffic at X amount.
I...
Rivian - didn't realise they had invested in them.
Is this good news - potentially yes as Rivian uses Unreal Engine to power their UI in their cars. It won't be long until we can all play Fortnite in our Porsches. (actually you can already in the BMW i7).
Is your car under warranty? Even though its a pain not to have a loan car, i'd rather have the charging port fixed if its under warranty.
I've found that even BMW rarely have a loaner at short notice and usually need X months notice to book you in. Porsche in my experience (which is limited to...
I'm not sure if its the car or the chargers but I've had problems at the ionity chargers before. It often takes several attempts to get it to work.
I couldn't get 2 chargers to work at the Milton Keynes ionity and the BMW i5 owner also couldn't get them working either.
This is probably one of the most sound pieces of advice for anybody considering an EV of any make. Its a game changer and changes the way you use the car.
I haven't really suffered with the dreaded depreciation as I bought a fully loaded used model.
Depreciation on all EV's seems to be terrible (in the UK) at the moment. We also have another electric vehicle that is on lease - Looking on Autotrader that has lost 50%-60% of its value in <2 years...
This is super helpful thanks
Decided to go down the insurance option rather than accident management company as they also used Porsche approved and then will need to reclaim the excess
