New Configurator Showing Different Mission E’s?

That would be impossible to keep clean. Would look nice for a couple of days at best even without brake dust.

Used 45% of tyre tread after only 1500 miles?!

They sent a video of taking the measurments of each tread with the tool showing the reading.

Used 45% of tyre tread after only 1500 miles?!

@atebit The car has the Summer tyers (Eagle F1) that came with the 21-Inch Mission E wheels. @75Chainslipr The technition noted that the wear is even. I have not tracked the car. I guess time will tell.

Used 45% of tyre tread after only 1500 miles?!

After I got my car back from being updated Porsche also carried out an inspection and noted that my front tyers have 55% tread left after 1500 miles. Are people here getting similar mileage? Do I really have to change my tyers every 3000 miles?! Haven't done any burnouts or anything like that.

Do you think it’s hard to get in and out of your Taycan?

Yes, but having the b-pillar aligned with you body is good for side impact protection.

Is using brake regen more efficient?

There are two forms of brake regen, auto regen which happens when you let off the accelerator and regen that happens when you press the brake. I feel that getting the max coasting distance is a better use of energy than trying to recapture it, because you recapture it when you brake anyways.

what is the best at home charger for a Taycan?

The context of this post was asking about the quality of chargers or difference between them. I am simply stating that external AC units play no role in the efficiency or performance of charging. The performance and efficiency of the AC to DC convertor is in the car.

what is the best at home charger for a Taycan?

That cable is supplying DC power which is connected to an external charger. It's really not that hard to understand.

what is the best at home charger for a Taycan?

I guess my point is you could technically stick two wires into a wall socket and stick the other end into the holes in the plug of the car and the car would start charging without a "charger". Obviously there are saftey features that would prevent that from happening like a signal line.

    Unknown Concerning Sound

    Sounds like a pump.

what is the best at home charger for a Taycan?

AC chargers are not chargers. The charger is in the car. These boxes simply provide power to the car and provide some metrics or connectivity with mobile apps.

How often do you re-boot PCM?

Somebody on the forum mentioned that these software problems are a result of a module or two malfuntioning, as in there is a hardware problem that causes the software problems. I tend to agree, otherwise there is no reason why the same software works fine on one car but somebody else will have...

    PPF v PPS consensus people

It's all garbage, just buy a new car if you get a scratch or stone chip.

    PPF regrets?

PPF or Ceramic Coating will not give you the same depth and gloss as a good white carbunara wax. If all you care about is how good the paint looks don't get PPF or Ceramic. Getting a panel resprayed is cheaper than PPF.

    error messages

If the PCM detects conflicting data from any of the situational sensors it will shut off said feature for saftey. This is usually caused by debrie/dirt on one of the sensors. Another reason is if the sensors detect object movment that it does not know how to deal with, it will also shut down...

Anyone with Burmester and/or the stock stereo mind testing this to see if you have interior rattle?

I know this is a bold claim, but THIS is the ultimate song to tune your base too.

The ship delivering my Taycan is aesthetically unappealing and has a sissy-sounding name.

That looks like a pretty secure ship, probably meant for high value containers. Nothing sitting on the deck.

Car arrives next week. What should I do first?

If you have comfort access and you put PPF you won't be able to swipe the front end to open the front trunk. Also if they remove the side mirrors to hide the lines of the PPF only a Porsche centre can re-pair them with the PCM. Otherwise the PCM will show them as missing.
