@atebit The car has the Summer tyers (Eagle F1) that came with the 21-Inch Mission E wheels.
@75Chainslipr The technition noted that the wear is even.
I have not tracked the car.
I guess time will tell.
After I got my car back from being updated Porsche also carried out an inspection and noted that my front tyers have 55% tread left after 1500 miles.
Are people here getting similar mileage?
Do I really have to change my tyers every 3000 miles?!
Haven't done any burnouts or anything like that.
There are two forms of brake regen, auto regen which happens when you let off the accelerator and regen that happens when you press the brake.
I feel that getting the max coasting distance is a better use of energy than trying to recapture it, because you recapture it when you brake anyways.
The context of this post was asking about the quality of chargers or difference between them.
I am simply stating that external AC units play no role in the efficiency or performance of charging.
The performance and efficiency of the AC to DC convertor is in the car.
I guess my point is you could technically stick two wires into a wall socket and stick the other end into the holes in the plug of the car and the car would start charging without a "charger". Obviously there are saftey features that would prevent that from happening like a signal line.
AC chargers are not chargers. The charger is in the car. These boxes simply provide power to the car and provide some metrics or connectivity with mobile apps.
Somebody on the forum mentioned that these software problems are a result of a module or two malfuntioning, as in there is a hardware problem that causes the software problems.
I tend to agree, otherwise there is no reason why the same software works fine on one car but somebody else will have...
PPF or Ceramic Coating will not give you the same depth and gloss as a good white carbunara wax.
If all you care about is how good the paint looks don't get PPF or Ceramic.
Getting a panel resprayed is cheaper than PPF.
If the PCM detects conflicting data from any of the situational sensors it will shut off said feature for saftey.
This is usually caused by debrie/dirt on one of the sensors.
Another reason is if the sensors detect object movment that it does not know how to deal with, it will also shut down...
If you have comfort access and you put PPF you won't be able to swipe the front end to open the front trunk.
Also if they remove the side mirrors to hide the lines of the PPF only a Porsche centre can re-pair them with the PCM. Otherwise the PCM will show them as missing.
