Things are looking up. Car is out of ‘quality action’ Purgatory and is supposedly on a truck. Porsche system says delivery at dealership today but I’d be surprised if it got here before Monday, especially considering it is the weekend of Independence Day.
So I called Porsche customer care and a very nice lady looked up my vehicle. She went away and after a pretty long while came back and said that for every shipment some cars are randomly pulled for a quality assurance inspection, and my car was one of them. She said it is scheduled to be...
The info came from my Sales Advisor‘s computer screen. He took the pictures of the status page and messaged them to me today. Your Sales Advisor can do the same, if he/she is willing to.
After Confucius dropped off cars at Davisville this week, the only 2 ships I am aware of that are headed to...
Stopped by the dealer earlier today and they have no clue what it means. If it’s a software update that is great. But if it is damage in transit that is not good. Wondering if anyone else ever seen this and if so what was the outcome. One possibility is it is to take care of the ground recall...
My car was dropped off from the Siem Confucius at Davisville yesterday, and the subject line is the current status of the car. Does anyone have an idea what this means? Thanks
I hope what you experienced is a parts problem that will be rectified soon, however my observation of the EA network tells me what you experienced is common. Stopping at a EA charging site is kinda like going to Vegas and throwing dice. If you are really lucky you will find all chargers...
I am Charlottesville too and am getting it from Flow. J said by 7/3, and I have a printout confirming that date, but the loss of a day with shipping won’t help that much. I’d say the week of 7/6 is more likely. What are you getting? The red GTS at Flow is mine. Or was....
Holy Cow! Confucius is now cruising at 17.7 kts which is the fastest that I have noted on the entire voyage from Emden. Guess the Captain is trying to make up whatever time he/she can.
I asked my Sales Advisor yesterday the quickest and the longest times he has seen once the car is unloaded, and our range is 5-10 days before it shows up at the dealer. We are at the southernmost end (Virginia) of deliveries from Davisville. NC apparently gets their cars from Jacksonville.
Just looked myself and Confucius is now headed toward Davisville at 15.8 kts. This status just changed. It will be interesting to find out what happened, it’s been meandering for close to 24 hours. Hope everyone aboard both vessels is OK. Due at Davisville at 0430 UTC which is 12:30 AM local...
I have satellite tracking and currently there is no one in port at Davisville. Besides, if there was, the Captain would continue on and wait close to Davisville. Here’s a screenshot from yesterday. The speed went abruptly from about 12.5 knots to zilch very rapidly. Speed of the Atlantic...
***UPDATE***
As of 7:30 Eastern Time (US) I can’t get an up to date position fix on Confucius. Two different ship tracking apps have a pretty old position of the ship so it is not clear what is going on with Confucius. ETA at Davisville has been pushed to tomorrow morning.
EA sux. VAG needs to get their act together because without a dependable charging network their EV’s won’t sell. Growing pains get a hall pass, but long term issues do not. We are approaching the end of the hall pass phase.
