This is what I did. We verbally agreed on a percentage discount off MSRP, and I asked for it in writing along with all extra fees the dealer charges. My salesman sent me an email. I felt that was sufficient.
I hope you’re right, because Henri looks to be going right over top of Davisville this weekend. Would love it if my car were a couple miles inland when that happens.
Salesman just sent me a note that my car's been released and should be at the dealer tomorrow or Sunday, though TYD still says it's Port Processing. ?♂️
To turn off the signals in a BMW, you push the lever in the same direction you used to turn the signal on in the first place.
That is, to turn left, you push down past the resistance on the lever. To turn off the indicator, you push down again. This is the opposite of a regular turn indicator...
This is not correct. The purpose of a circuit breaker is to prevent the wires in the walls from overheating to the point that they can cause a fire. Any other protection offered is incidental to that purpose.
For example, a QO-style Square D 20A breaker will, when subjected to 32A (1.6x rated...
Nobody's going to sue Porsche for not including two sets of keys or the phone charger. Somebody who blows a tire at high speeds might blame it on the lack of a functioning TPMS and sue Porsche. Even if an individual wouldn't do that, an insurance company involved in that claim might.
Depends on the specifics. I don't care for stretched coupes like the 6-series. For a coupe, I'd want something no bigger than a 911. And a vehicle that size would have to wait another 5 or 10 years; we don't want three cars, so our two vehicles need to be capable as family cars.
Well then, while I'm sure there's a reason for the difference in our estimated delivery dates, I guess we just don't have enough information to speculate about what that reason is.
Purchasing. I understand your worry, but so far, these missing parts seem to be plug-and-play.
Mine is also in port processing, though in Davisville RI, and its delivery date also moved, though only to 8/27. So I guess I should count myself lucky. Hopefully Porsche is just being pessimistic...
Were you on the Siem Aristotle too? My car is similarly delayed, though no one has told me what it's waiting on. Last night Porsche updated the delivery date from the 13th (obviously incorrect) to the 27th.
My initial delivery estimate was late August, so Porsche may still be trying to hit...
I pushed a little harder and was told that the last status update to my car was on the 11th, the day it arrived, with a description of "Quality Action." My salesman told me that when that shows up it's normally only a day before moving on to the next step, so it definitely sounds to me like it's...
Your salesman should be able to answer this one. There are three states in between port arrival and port departure that aren't exposed via TYD but that dealers can see.
I would expect that a car which is held at port due to missing parts will be sitting in NA10 (PDI In), or maybe NA19 (PDI...
He posted in the other thread. As of yesterday the part hadn't arrived yet, but hopefully this week.
My car's still at the port. No idea why. Trying to get in touch with my salesman to see if he can tell me what's going on, but unfortunately haven't been able to.
Mine finished 7/14, and unfortunately it's still at Port Processing. Hopefully they just got more cars in RI than they did in Halifax and it's taking them longer to get through them. It's only been two days, so I don't want to assume missing parts yet.
I've been told that the dealer needs to do something to activate Track Your Dream. I would call and ask him to enable it for you. In your shoes, I would have exactly your same worries.
Also, under no circumstances should you feel uncomfortable or pushy about asking questions of your salesman...
Davisville, but honestly I'm not expecting it to be correct in TYD until tomorrow. TYD seems to update timelines and milestones early morning in Germany (if it updates them at all).
Edit: Never mind, TYD status literally just changed to Port Processing. Hooray!
