My dealer had mentioned to me that most the vehicles weren't cleared to sell until Nov, wonder if that's why it is being held. No active recalls on it?
Yeah per the shipping schedule released by VW, it is getting there on the 4th. It's hit all the other port times dead on the money.
My dealer in the DFW dealer said it will likely get there a few days later and I can grab it the following week on the 15th or so. Also on the Felicity Ace and a...
Felicity ACE is due in the Houston port on 11/4. So long as it isn't stuck at port waiting for transport, it'll likely be at the dealer a few days later.
I usually submit a copy and pasted query to multiple dealerships using the little "chat" icon that appears on most dealer websites. I've found most reply pretty quickly and you can get a decent amount of info from multiple sources in a short amount of time. Unless you're in a rush and need to...
No sure exactly where you are looking but there are EA chargers in Ennis, Huntsville, The Woodlands, and Madisonville along the 45. 35E around DFW has a lot of options as well.

I haven't really had these issues with PIRM but I'm out in West Texas where there aren't many charging options other than EA for several hundred miles in all directions. When I drove it to San Antonio last April it was pretty flawless, and more recently I took it to Phoenix and it worked just...
I'm sure it is. My car hopped on boat bound for Houston on the 15th and by all accounts everything is ahead of schedule but the TYD has bounced all over the place for me in terms of delivery date. Im sure it will show up well ahead of schedule.
No idea. Don't think as you mentioned, this has ever been an issue for anyone and actually seems like a safety feature allowed in every market but the US.
It sounds like the car detects certain conditions and automatically engages the hazards. But I guess it might be a little zealous...
Preach.
My guess is this is an update they could easily do but the dealers still prefer to have it done in house as a means of getting customers through the door. How many stories have we heard even on this forum of someone taking their 911 or Cayenne for an update, they saw the Taycan on...
Huh? It's been all over the place recently here. We actually have been discussing it since before there recall announcement. Just about every new car arriving at dealerships in the US needs a software update for the recall.
Edit: as to the actual problem, don't think it really is one. Cars...
It isn't precise, and the dates change a lot for all things. My order date updated around my freeze date and actually says my order was created a day after the freeze haha. The other dates are fluctuating like crazy as well. My vehicle finished completion on 9/28 and got to Emden on 9/30...
I ordered my CT from a dealer in the DFW area (El Paso had no allocations), and my SA said he thinks it will arrive well before the late Nov estimate. So far the Felicity ACE is tracking a bit ahead of schedule to arrive in Halifax.
The big question will be if we have to wait for the recall...
Definitely could see this coming. A couple of other threads on the topic and now it's a recall for every model.
Hopefully what he said is true and you're cruising around soon. The wait will be well worth it.
That's also in reference to the whole fleet, meaning their strategy for recalling all the vehicles will be complete by then. I would imagine vehicles pending sale are going to be hot-fixed ASAP.
