The battery monitoring software was announced to become available during Q1 of 2025 which my service adviser said probably meant the end of March. It would then need to go in to be installed at the dealer but then OTA monitoring would be able to be carried out.
Whether my 12V battery has ther...
I am quite sure you are right. The torque control potential of an electric motor is both faster and more precise than is possible with an IC engine, particularly diesel which has no spark cut/timing potential to quickly respond.
I would be surprised if there was a gap in the previous batch in case anybody changed their mind, premium brand doesn't mean stupid planning even if customers do feel highly entitled because of the price.
They paint shells in batches of colour. Your delivery time will have been linked to when the line was making the first colour you chose.
When you changed they would have to move to the next batch of the new colour, you are lucky it is only a week IME!
I have a metal tilt/slide roof on my 1991 500E I used it all the time.
We had a glass roof on a family car and I kept the shade closed most of the time so glass was no gain.
In principle it does from the 800V battery even when not plugged in but several people, myself included, have had an unexplained dead 12V battery in my case after 9 days not using it over Christmas and despite having over 70% in the 800V battery.
My car also had lost the ability to access the...
Ah well I am very happy with my Mamba/Blackberry car.
If privacy glass isn't rammed down your throat with every upper spec car like it is here maybe I should emigrate to the USA.
There is a procedure in the manual once you have opened the door but needs a booster battery which you connect first to the fusebox in the driver footwell which allows you to open the bonnet with the key then connect the booster to lugs under the cover at the back of the bonnet opening which...
When I had a dead 12V battery the dealer couldn't download any car data so it didn't help.
They did the main battery check and gave it the all clear until monitoring software is available to be added in March.
I dislike the plastic wheelarch trims too, some people remove it, but the extra 15mm of bump travel will be better on poor surfaces, basic chassis engineering.
I also appreciate not needing to raise the car for speed bumps, so that is a material difference.
The biggest gain in looks though is...
My experience was that the 21" gave a worse ride. I first noticed it in demo cars with 21" wheeled CT not riding as well as one on 20" wheels and now I have mine and 21" summer and 20" winter wheels the 20" are better but you are right that the car rides very well on 21" wheels it has superb...
I went for the CT because of the extra wheel travel since it will have better ride in extremis but I haven't actually driven a non-CT on the appalling roads here. My CT4S has superb ride, it is the first thing I noticed.
Since I got mine over 2 years ago I have had 2 Taycan CT loan cars, the...
I had selected the brown olea leather too initially but in my seemingly endless wait for an allocation dicked around with all the non-black interiors and once I tried Neodyme highlights the Blackberry looked a bit nicer to me.
