Disabled???
It can't be, the only suspension elements are active so if it was disabled it would have no wheel movement.
I understand the rolling into the corner setting is disabled but it is still under active control, just with different settings.
The air suspension and PDCC get different...
Nice sensible spec IMO.
Our most popular option is the massage seats, which would need a change to 14-way comfort seats and come with ventilation which we don't use much but is nice when it is hot.
Personally I prefer not to have the glass roof since it is ugly (IMO) and only noticable from the...
Active suspension should, and IMO the Porsche implementation will, be better for handling and dynamics without giving a poor ride.
Personally for the roads I drive on and the way I drive a 4S with active suspension would be better value for money than a turbo without.
Of course it will use more...
The dealer where I ordered my car had a mamba green one with the brown olea leather. I liked it but it had 18 way seats and I wanted massage ventilated seats, a glass roof which I would prefer not to have and "privacy glass" which is a complete no-no for me. It didn't sell quickly.
One of my granddaughters christened mine the pickle car. I like it a lot but green is my favourite colour and now it is retired I would be content enough with the oak green, though I intend to keep my mamba/blackberry car indefinitely.
If I do a long journey with my 9 year old Granddaughter she can be occupied counting coloured cars, they are pretty unusual here in the UK, probably around 1 in 10 last time she did it...
As a road car I already much prefer it to a 911 since even with no turbo lag you are still stuck with an IC engine's very narrow power band.
For a track day car a 911 or better a GT4 Cayman would be better but as a road car? Not for me.
Funnily enough the more recent Porsche road car engines (other than the high revving normally aspirated ones) have not impressed me, definitely easier to make that early engines but I am not a fan.
FWIW I prefer the look of the car with the sculpted ally roof to the glass roof personally and if you go for that the active suspension is almost paid for ;)
There aren't many about without the glass roof which always surprises me since you don't notice it at all from the front seats.
You don't...
It depends on the sort of roads you mainly drive on and how you drive but as a chassis engineer I optioned the active anti roll bars, torque vectoring and rear wheel steer on a CT4S (which has 15mm more bump travel than saloon or ST)and was surprised how much better my car handles than a loan...
I would agree for the period up until Porsche diagnose the fault and fix it.
Otherwise carefully monitoring the fault and its symptoms may be helpful with the diagnosis.
I set off on my first long trip this year yesterday, 4 ½ hours driving and the 12V display was showing over 14 V all the way with 14.1V at the end plus a message saying you can't use the PCM when the battery is low at a stop after 3 hours to charge the main battery.
It has only once shown less...
In the 1950s and 60s that is more or less what people said about Japan, cheap copied tat.
When I was a young engineer "japping" was rude slang for bodging something.
China is in a strong position, particularly if democratic countries continue actually electing populist wannabe dictators like...
I would think the safety system would not let a car without coolant to be charged because keeping the cells in the correct temperature range is important for both longevity and safety.
I would add that there is a marked difference in layout of hybrid cars both in battery position relative to exhaust system and the location of the electric motor and how it merges with the IC engine and gearbox. Some are horribly complex to my engineering eye, some really elegant.
Our first...
