The only reoccurring and apparently unfixable issue I've had is the unreliability and to me (and my service centre's) completely arbitrary malfunction of the 360 surround camera. During the recent repair they spend several days running diagnostics on it, replacing the right side camera and the...
Nice write-up and agree with you on all points, except I don’t think that CT is that rare any longer (relative to the saloon) - at least not over the last twelve months.
That you forgot to pay the Porsche Connect bill?;) Bad pun I know, and completely agree that $30/month is ridiculous. In my view the real audacity is to charge for basic safety-related functions such as lock and charging status.
I will prob stick to Carrara White for my next Taycan, unless it’s a Turbo S for which the trim makes a darker colour balance the “conspicuous” aspect a bit. Volcano Grey is probably on top of the list in that case.
I suspect that unless Tesla ups their game on quality and driving experience, it will become a lower margin, mass-produced brand. Nothing wrong with that but the early mover cachet is dwindling quickly.
They've already discontinued the RHD versions of Model S and X.
Macan isn't a real Porsche except by name and exterior design features - it certainly doesn't have any of the driving characteristics that people who have a real appreciation for the brand expect.
Was given one as a loaner for a week and couldn't wait to get my Taycan back. Haven't tested the...

Porsche not mentioned in article. That EVs are not particularly attractive for thieves is a well-known fact, but would have thought Cayenne, Macan and 911s were pretty high...
I've decided to keep mine until 2.0 comes out, which probably will happen no earlier than late 2026. Assuming the next generation is as fantastic as we all hope it will be, I shall be knocking on my Porsche dealer's door to put in a pre-order as soon as the books open:)
Not sure what you mean by buying 2nd doesn't work through a company (i.e. Ltd director/owner). The only difference to my understanding is that the Ltd has an annual capital allowance for the car at the 18% main rate instead of 100% capital allowance in year 1 for new vehicles.
My understanding...
I am considering buying the roof transport system + bike rack add on for a 4S saloon.
How easy is it to mount and demount the system, ie is it viable to remove regularly? I will pretty much only use it for day cycle trips and don’t really want it on the car permanently so any advice is helpful.
