No I do not try to convert anyone. I do, if asked, try to give a balanced opinion on owning and living with an EV. the tesla fan bois were alway annoying, proselytizing their wonder cars.

do you carry a jack and spare in your car? I don't and haven't for a very long time owning at least 7 different cars. in that time I have had two flats that required road service. both times on the same MB E class and both times that car had a spare that they mounted for me. this was a 1995 car.

I would guess that not many of us have the right jack or even know the proper jacking procedures

the goo kit can get you out of jam if the puncture is in the tread area, it is useless for sidewall cuts. I would refrain from using it unless there were no other options. the biggest issue is finding a replacement tire when out travelling in the boondocks.

98.9 % of my charging is L2 using the porsche evse so L3 DC charging is probably not the issue for me

more than likely he was completely clueless. the training for EVs, regardless of manufacturer, is abysmal. most of the salespeople are not well versed on the cars that they are selling and there is a shortage of techs trained to work on the cars.

it is possible that your unit is out of range for OTA updates. my evse is in an underground garage, out of range and is working as it always had because it isn't updated
