Lol, amazing approach. I have the Chalk interior coming, so the white cable will probably be fine... but not an exact match to the Chalk of course. Was wondering if contrasting would be better. I'm obviously overthinking it while impatiently waiting for delivery!
Spoke to my dealer, he said the active campaigns he saw on his screen were the manual steering wheel and the missing 2nd keyfob. Both of which would be dealt with afterwards. So I'm hoping it won't be held up in port?
Mine just left Emden on the Helios Ray earlier than expected, however the actual delivery date has been pushed back to 10/1. Looks like extra "Port Processing" makes up the new delay.
Mine just left Emden on the Helios Ray earlier than expected (heading to West Coast), however the actual delivery date has also gone back to 10/1. Looks like extra "Port Processing" makes up the new delay.
It’s the standard 10kW charger. HPWC is on a 50A breaker so 40A, however I was about to swap out for a 60A breaker because I checked the wiring and it can handle it.
This is a neat, albeit slightly excessive, idea to avoid having to handle the combined plug/adapter size with the adapter. I’m...
Really off-topic and nitpicky, but your magsafe charger has a black cable. The OEM Apple ones have a white cable. Black definitely hides better. Where'd you get yours from?
I don't have my Taycan yet. I did exactly what you did (HPWC->TelsaTap-1772adapter) on my Tesla and did note that it was long, but felt solid enough. I think without the 1772 adapter the size is marginally more than a native 1772 so shouldn't really be an issue. Of course it's not quite as clean...
Don’t think I’m comfortable enough doing that kind of wiring work right now. Will stick to the TeslaTap Mini on my Gen 3 (keeping it attached permanently). I would swap the HPWC but the Tesla one is very sleek and works well so don’t see a reason to.
Thanks for the advice though!
Thanks, very excited! I just wish I was able to drive it back over in the UK (I'm a British expat in the US). There's some fun drives here but nothing beats those B roads and national speed limit.
I have a non-CT Turbo S on order with the chalk (US name for crayon) interior (Mamba exterior though). Really appreciate your photos, they validate the interior to me a lot. Especially as I also have the matching chalk seatbelts and hadn't seen a photo of that. Thanks!! p.s. beautiful CT!
