1. Can you use autosocks with all season tires? As a slightly-better solution for those who do not drive frequently in these conditions?
2. Where are you storing tires in Seattle area? I couldn't find a lot of good options.
Ah hi, fellow Seattle Mamba Green owner! I tooj delivery of a Mamba sedan in November and hadn’t seen any other green Taycans around yet!
Was out of town for the snow so didn’t get to find out how it handles in it, also have the all seasons.
I'd guess with no one in the car it'll power off before long so not much would be gained, but possibly with preheating/charging also on it might keep going,
Yeah that's what I meant. I did that once on my Tesla and it started the preconditioning. Away from home for a couple of weeks so can't try on the Taycan. Curious though.
I suppose you could put a local charging station into your nav while the car is sat in your driveway and it'll start pre-heating the battery (as it is assuming you are going to drive to that charging station)?
Are you sure they're not taking winter/weather conditions into account when looking at your degradation?
I have a Model 3, which I've had for 3 years but only put 20k miles on. It's degraded from 310mi to 260mi and I have baby'd it (mainly charging to 70-80%, few supercharging, etc). But it is...
What voltage level are people using for the discharge protection when hard wiring? Very cautious after hearing all these 12v horror stories for the Taycan.
This is for a Blackvue right? Any chance there's a part/model number for that adapter? I'm not familiar with what that plug is.
Also, what does the switch on it do exactly?
Thanks!
I was more asking because if it's staying on, in whatever mode, when the vehicle is off - it could be draining the vehicle's battery right? Which means if there was a 12v issue (as has happened in the past) Porsche could blame you.
Wish there was a bit more flexibility and I could put any of the displays in any of the tubes.
I love the look of the map in the centre (even though I'm using CarPlay to nav most of the time) but I would also like to be able to get the Power Meter displayed too (I like seeing regen amount etc).
