I have Xpel and it seems to do the job well. I think I've washed the car twice since February. It always looks clean, however I've never spent so much for something I cannot see,, cannot feel, and cannot taste.
I'd stick with my RWD all day long. Its ample for me. I've had a 911S, and I may never own an ICE again, but I will remain loyal to the brand. My RWD has been free from any defects, apart from some PCM glitches.
I mean no disrespect to the owners that feel they need more power and/or...
I drove last night in a dark parking lot that was uneven (across two lots) and ended up slamming the car on the pavement just behind the front wheel. I carefully backed the car out and onto the level I was on before driving off the ledge. I did not see any visible damage, but I'm sure the...
I can't argue with your stats and as the OP I will be the first to admit this isn't an empirical study. However it seems the forum skews toward people with "Issues" and I was beginning to wonder "did I just get lucky with mine?"
Based on the responses (from members that probably don't post...
I am very happy with my car and feel bad about the number of complaints posted here. I think its worth taking the time to put matters in perspective with a poll since those happy with their vehicle are less likely to complain. And I'd be interested in results so I know what to advise future...
I cannot imagine being much happier with anything other than my RWD. Of all options the one I think adds the most value (to me anyway) is RAS. I also got the premium package, PB+, full leather, logo emblazoned on front seats, color crest in wheels, and a custom color. Try to balance cosmetics...
Drove my 911S Cab for 12 years and apart from the dreaded IMS bearing failure (do your research, it afflicted the earlier models), my car rarely required any service. The intervals for oil changes was ridiculously long which can give you a false sense of security. I sold the car for close to...
Somewhere in here or a related thread, an owner suggested initiating the link from PCM to Spotify within the mobile app. So I tried that (see screenshot from my phone), then rebooted the PCM. This time, the error looked the same as it always does, except this time it gave me error code #3019...
Yes I understand that but there is also an option to pay zero and take the charger that comes with the car. That's what I did. It gives a new owner an option to sit on the sidelines while this whole drama plays out. That's the advice I would give someone that is specing a new build.
well I am embarrassed to say that maybe I over-reacted and definitely exaggerated this issue. When I first pulled the plug to examine it after hearing about the issue, I noticed discoloration. Now the discoloration seems more uniform, but there was NO melting. My bad and sorry if I alarmed...
have had only the opposite reaction to my car. admirers love the styling, the color (Neptune blue) and all my friends that have driven it want one. Of course, none of this matters. If you worry what others will think of you or the car, then don't buy it.
See my post above. I am in San Diego and the 40 amp charging rate started to melt my outlet. I suggest you check yours from time to time. We don't need any more Taycans catching fire.
Maybe I am missing something but since this is a non-issue for many owners why would a new owner want to sink another $500+ into a device before even taking delivery and trying out the charger that comes for free?
This has been a total "nonissue" for me. i have the PB+ and the charger that came at no extra cost with the vehicle. I manually changed the setting from 100% to 50% and charge at night. The charging begins at midnight and I have 85% charge by 9AM (I don't need the car any sooner than that). I...
Totally agree with this sentiment. I've had the 911s and while not a GT3, I've no particular need to be the fastest vehicle on the freeway. Been there, done that, and will be challenged by BMW 3 series drivers no matter what Porsche I drive. Based on their driving behavior, they have the...
