Had a similar chip that then moved to a big crack after about a week. I also had mine replaced through my Seattle area Porsche Dealership. They farmed the installation out to a Porsche Certified Body Shop and did the calibration at the Dealership. Dealership provided a loaner. Mine was covered...
Unfortunate. I was waiting to put an order in on a Taycan 2.0 GTS to replace my 2020. Depreciation be damned. The Panamera is a bloated dog, with for me a brand image tied to an old fart's Cadillac.
Flying Ace is correct, only a select number of dealers have had the technicians able to repair the HV Battery. I was fortunate as my dealer is one of the few at my time of need with a HV certified technician. About 12 days for me last year from flatbed to the dealer and installation of a...
Here's the Porsche technical bulletin on the water drains for the high voltage battery. You'll want to make sure that these are clean or the screens area removed. Take it from personal experience, important to do. (2) Foot Garage Swimming Pool | TaycanForum -- Porsche Taycan Owners, News...
I purchased the Porsche Crossbars for my 2020 4S, as they were the only ones that fit at that time. I've used my previously owned Thule bike racks that work great. Porsche utilizes a Thule system, so the Thule components work fine with the Porsche crossbars. crossbars.
Daily driver is a '20 Taycan 4S +, but my daughter grew up in my 20-year daily driver '91 964 Carrera 2 Manual, now a weekender. New long distance weekend tourer is a '24 992.1 T Manual. All terrific fun with unique and amazing characteristics.
I plan on keeping my factory ordered 2020 4S until 2027, when I'm hoping Taycan Gen 2.0 arrives. I have 55,000 miles on it with a new battery last year, courtesy of Porsche, and an extended warranty to 2028. I'll either get a new one or a low mileage CPO Gen 1.2 GTS or Turbo. Love the car, even...
A 911 for weekends is a fantastic plan. Your choices all have a different vibe and different economics.
I’ve owned a 2020 4S+ since new and love it. This supplemented my former 25 year long daily driver, a ‘91 964 manual coupe.
I’ll always keep the special analog 964, it’s a raw and soulful...
Mine had a rock chip that developed into a crack after about a week. My insurance paid for it under comprehensive, except for the deductible. The shop had to replace the windshield, which often cracks as part of the process. Good as new after about a $13,000 bill.
I have a 2024 992.1 Carrera T Manual and a 1991 964 C2 Manual. I was surprised how similar the T cabin feels to my 2020 4S Taycan, both with the 18 ways and Bose. The T is a terrific car. Daily is the Taycan, weekends the T, and on special occasions the 964. My daughter grew up in the 964.
Took over a year to get going, but in February 2022 the "Washington State Plan for Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Deployment" began development, funded by local taxpayers. After lots of public process, the state didn't even get to the point of reviewing charging station grants. Applications...
I'd suggest verifying with Griot's Garage that their cleaning chemicals are suitable for your wheels. I'd guess they are fine. Personally, I only use Griot's products on my Porsches, as many of the other manufacturer's products can discolor and/or take the paint off your calipers.
