Instrument cluster defective and completely shut off

Thank you! I hope Porsche fully documents this problem so it will get a proper fix for someone else who also runs into this. And for anyone who gets this in the future, don't believe it would be a software fix! I don't want to jinx it but this has been the only problem so far ;) compared with a...

Instrument cluster defective and completely shut off

Just wanted to share a quick update on my 2025 Taycan instrument cluster issue that first started back in October 2024 at only 800 miles. After a year of intermittent blackouts, the dealership finally found a hard fault. Note that those intermittent blackouts of the instrument cluster never had...

Charging cost shown in the app

TL;DR: How is charging cost shown in My Porsche app with Plug & Charge vs Activating with the app, in the one-year inclusive period? So I have been using Plug & Charge with Electrify America charging stations and the cost for charging is always 0 shown in the history in the My Porsche App...

Roadtrip from Boston to Halifax, NS - 2025 Taycan Cross Turismo

Yes there's Electrify Canada (surprise! Lol) but I didn't use the app to pay. I only used it to see if there were chargers available. I just used credit card readers on the charger. They all worked.

Is your pre-climate via app still working as before?

I have the same issue: https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/odd-behavior-of-pre-climate-from-my-porsche-app.24318/ There's a workaround by setting the departure feature and enabling remote climate.

Odd behavior of pre-climate from My Porsche App

Before the app update it looked like this: So I can obviously control temperature and seat heating. Now none of the controls are there any more...

Odd behavior of pre-climate from My Porsche App

Since the last update of the app (when the widget to pre-climate was added), I found some strange behavior of that feature. From the screen of pre-climate, there's no way to set temperature any more... And every time I use "start pre-climate" it fails saying this feature is unavailable now...

VW Group EVs to Get Tesla Supercharger Access September 9, 2025

There’s a little message on the screen saying “Porsche Charging Planner is active” when the car is preconditioning the battery. It comes on and off as needed when approaching the charging station in the nav. And it’ll show the charging speed it can do at real-time. As far as I can tell, the...

VW Group EVs to Get Tesla Supercharger Access September 9, 2025

Yeah I really like that the car tells me how fast I can possibly charge at any given time and the difference between how much the car wants vs gets. Really helpful to optimize my charging stops (also whether to precondition the battery or not). The finger pointing is just hilarious ?

Perfect example of YMMV LOL I never bother calling EA’s customer service when charge failed which only happened once on their old hardware (wouldn’t initiate). There isn’t really much they can do. In my own experience ABRP isn’t really good…… I use Porsche route planner as a base and change...

VW Group EVs to Get Tesla Supercharger Access September 9, 2025

Obviously we define "good experience" very differently. If the car gets everything what it wants, IMO it's a good experience. If the car indicates something like this, then it's not, even when it gets 170kw. There's at least something that can be done to increase the possibility of a...

Drove through a snow storm on New Year's Day in Vermont, from Burlington VT to Boston (236 miles). Obviously it was cold and very windy. Ended up with 2.4 miles / kWh with average speed of 66mph Here's the elevation profile:

I actually always hit pretty good speed with EA when I could start the charge successfully (that's another story when I couldn't) On 350kw EA units, the car always gets everything it wants (unless when it is power sharing with another stall) On 150kw EA units, some times I could get 190+ kw...

Groundhog (or more likely a Raccoon) 0, Taycan -$17.8k (damage)

I couldn't see anything but the tail lights of the F150 in front of me. It was dark and foggy... And I didn't use the hairpin turn as a skid pad  But the view of the valley at night was amazing.

I was just taking I-91 north (from the pike to Greenfields (then RT 2 to North Adams) last weekend and didn't remember seeing any electric signs on I-91... You'd think there're more deers in western MA than Boston metro... and yeah I didn't run into any critters or anything fortunately...
