  1. Level 2 charging rate with a 50 amp capacity

Porsche's website continues to list the 11kW onboard AC charger as standard equipment in the build configuration for the Taycan.
  2. Level 2 charging rate with a 50 amp capacity

I wonder if the cayenne hybrid will actually charge at 11kW or if it’s just another example of incorrect/unachievable specs.
  3. Level 2 charging rate with a 50 amp capacity

Here is the thread Daveo4EV referred to about MY2025 Taycans charging faster than 9.6kW but then no longer do after a software update. I've been dealing with Porsche about this for my own 2025 4S with no success. They would only tell me my vehicle is operating normally and is capable of 11kW...
  4. Metal pinging sound when getting in/out of the vehicle

I have a new 2025 Taycan picked in January and ever since I've had it there is an occassional metal pinging sound when getting in/out of the car after it's been driven. It doesn't happen when first getting into the car after sitting in the garage overnight. But after driving it, when first...
  5. [North American] - Home EV charging for the power limited existing home residential user…

With newer Taycans there is no point going beyond 48amp since they only come with an 11kW AC charger, and additionally Porsche seems to have artificially limited them to 40amp charge rate.
  6. PCM Replacement in 25 4S

Your problem getting resolved after sitting unconnected offgrid for 2 days feels like something just needed to be reset. It's ridiculous that Porsche removed the PCM reset function present in older models/software versions. I've also been told by my dealership that the only way to reset now is...
  7. PCM Replacement in 25 4S

Mine had a similar issue and required control module replacement. I took delivery at beginning of January and the issue happened 2 weeks after. Porsche connect app could not connect to the vehicle. Dealer tried disconnecting 12V battery and several other things. Finally had to open ticket with...
  8. Taycan J1.2 Home charging kw change after update

I really hope they didn't limit it via software when they clearly state in the car specs that it comes with an 11kW AC charger. But at the same time they recently confirmed the Macan EV only has a 9.5kW AC charger and they aren't outfitting their own service centers with higher capacity AC...
  9. Taycan J1.2 Home charging kw change after update

I’ve been only getting 40Amp using the universal wall connector as well since I got it just 2 months ago (brand new MY2025). I’ve tested it on another owner’s Porsche wall charger where his 21 Taycan gets 11kW while mine only gets 9.5kW. I’ve taken it to two service centers but unfortunately...
  10. New 2025 Taycan 4S - Few Newbie Questions

Normal mode will drop the height while I'm on the freeway too.
  11. New 2025 Taycan 4S - Few Newbie Questions

For #2, you are able to save the changeable settings to each drive mode (height, recuperation, suspension). For example I changed the height for Sport mode to be Lowered instead of Normal and saved it that way.
  12. New 2025 Taycan 4S - Few Newbie Questions

Where is this car wash? I'm in the Seattle area too and have ceramic and mission E wheels as well!
  13. New 2025 Taycan 4S - Few Newbie Questions

Just select Performance from PCM and the first tab that is shown (Dynamics) displays a bar graph of Brake and Power. Brake can be either green, red, or both. Power will be blue. Also included a photo.
  14. New 2025 Taycan 4S - Few Newbie Questions

For #2, the performance screen in the pcm will show green vs red when regen vs mechanical braking is applied. The driver console and hud only show regen and not mechanical.
  15. Wife & husband both have iPhones: issues?

You can set the priority of which phone to connect to if both are detected, and it’s easy to switch to the other one if needed. For myPorsche app it doesn’t seem to make any difference which account is primary vs secondary. The primary account can add/remove the secondary accounts but once set...
  16. Installed a Tesla Wall Charger

I confirmed the dealership's AC charger was only capable of 32A which explains why they never saw any cars pulling higher. There happened to be a Tesla plugged in and Teslas report the max capable by the charger. I opened a ticket with Porsche NA to see if that goes anywhere but based on my...
  17. Installed a Tesla Wall Charger

My EVSE is a Tesla Universal wall connector on a 60A breaker (48A output). It charges my Tesla Model Y at 11.5kW which is 48A@240V. So I know my home equipment can provide 48A charging. The dealership also claims their L2 charger is 48A but I do wonder since they are telling me other Taycans...
  18. Installed a Tesla Wall Charger

Just a quick update. Porsche dealer said they didn't find anything wrong, and other Taycans at the dealership also don't charge at 11kW either. They also charge ~9.4kW. So I'm at a loss what's going on. I've also never seen it exceed ~176kW at a DC 350kW charger even when starting from SOC of...
  19. Installed a Tesla Wall Charger

Where did you see specs saying it only supports up to 9.6kW? I only saw that on the mobile charger that came with the car but that's a limitation on the charger not the car. The vehicle manual says max 11kW or 22kW if you purchased the 22kW charger. Also this post from another 2025 owner shows...
  20. Installed a Tesla Wall Charger

The Tesla app is also only showing 9.3kW when plugged into the Taycan, and 11.3 kW when plugged into the Model Y.
