    Auto Regen?

I'm sorry, but if we're at the point where I need to teach you the English language, then I think we're at a dead end here. For some reason, you've been arguing in bad faith this entire thread and I seriously don't see how to even continue this discussion like that.

    Auto Regen?

Eh, typo. Of course I meant to write arbitrarily, as in there is no apparent technical reason why the max regen for overrun recoup couldn't be whatever value they wanted (within the capability of the car, obviously). I think it's pretty clear from the context what I meant. Being excessively...

    Auto Regen?

We're however literally talking about tweaking a few values of an existing function. They already have everything that would be needed for one pedal driving with the overrun recoup feature, except that the max regen is artificially limited to a too low amount. Even the brake lights will turn on...

Out of sudden, I got Spotify on PCM without having Porsche Connect Service, how come?

I don't remember the exact options, but I think you can select available media sources by tapping on the "..."-button in the lower right in the Media app.

Why Audi 55 etron charging faster ( LHS IN PIC) than Taycan GTS? Think Q is 400V architecture. Taycan 800 V. Should be other way round

Can be a number of different reasons, so it's impossible to tell for certain without more information. The battery might be too cold, it might be too hot, the charger might be too hot, the charger might be power limited or the car might have fault battery cells. The Audi however seems to also...

    Driving with no key?

Yeah, it would suck immensely if the car would stop in the middle of the highway just because the batteries in the fob were low.

    Auto Regen?

No matter the opinion on one pedal driving, I fully agree that it’s weird that Porsche doesn’t at least allow it as an option. Obviously there are a lot of people who like it and I don’t see why they can’t just let us decide for ourselves how we want to drive. The car obviously has the technical...

New version 4S. Is is really that much improved?

My MY2022 had the same thing.

New version 4S. Is is really that much improved?

Note however regarding extended CarPlay, that while it does connect much faster than before, so far I haven’t otherwise actually noticed any differences from before. What Porsche calls CarPlay plus seems to just be the app integration that is already available for all Taycans and not next gen...

Got to see comfort access suspension action on '25. No chance that is software upgrade for '23?

I think that’s actually even the default setting. Go to Settings -> Car -> Locking System and uncheck ”Extended Comfort Access”.

    Passenger Display privacy coating

I have distinct memory of Mercedes demoing that exact feature years ago. Not sure whether that ever got into a production car. Only the new J1 II model has a privacy screen (since that’s when they introduced video streaming).

New version 4S. Is is really that much improved?

Because the car is also much more efficient. It gets more range per kWh than the previous Taycan.

New version 4S. Is is really that much improved?

Seems like you’re comparing gross battery with net battery. The old Taycan only has 83.7 kWh usable battery vs 97 kWh in the new one (105 kWh gross). About 15.9% increase in usable battery. Like I said in my earlier comment, the total range increase is about 30-35% compared to an equivalent...

New version 4S. Is is really that much improved?

The range has increased about 30-35% compared to the previous model. About half from larger battery and half from increased efficiency. What actual range you get depends on a number of different factors from equipment to driving style. I’m not sure whether they have upgraded the hardware or...

Unofficial Homekit support for your Taycan! [Plugin available for download]

I've previously used the app Proxyman for sniffing traffic. It actually works completely native on the phone and can be downloaded from the AppStore.

Unofficial Homekit support for your Taycan! [Plugin available for download]

Yeah, they changed the API about the same time that they killed the my.porsche.com website. I’ve been using another project for a Home Assistant integration, but that one has also been dead since then. They’ve been working on migrating to the new API, but there hasn’t been much activity in a while.

    Passenger Display privacy coating

Probably not. There are however other systems that can electronically toggle different angles. I think Mercedes uses this for some models. It’s essentially the same technology that is used for glasses free 3D monitors, except that instead of a 3D effect, you display different content in...

    MY 2025 charging experience

Huh, that's an odd decision. I guess it's not the end of the world to just increase the target to 100% before going on a trip, but still. I thought it made sense that the car would charge as much as possible when on a trip. Yeah, of course it's not efficient to charge to 100%, but I don't see...

    Only 150kW at 800v DC?

Software. It's a button in the centre console display in the battery menu. Yeah, hopefully Porsche eventually releases an update for the older Taycans like they've done before. The software in the new Taycan has improved quite a bit.
