It went in for the heater and brake recall, and now they say there's an ('open circuit') error code reported with a door handle. I've not had any problems - but they say the error code is too vague so they need to charge £480 for a two hour investigation, which may or may not be refundable if...
Funny thing is my home insurance went down by a 3rd this year, on the auto renewal from the same company, without me asking and with no arguments. So it's not the loss of investment revenue for insurance companies: it can only be cost of loaners and extended repair times due to a mysterious UK...
Very similar circumstances (business car/rural postcode/squeeky clean) - just managed to get a quote for £1430 from Stirling/Ageas via uSwitch. Still ridiculous, but better.
uSwitch have just come good for me as it happens - £1430 (Striling/Ageas), but managed to get Admiral to bring their £2100 quote down to 1500 by using it as a sick to beat them with.
£700 quote when we first ordered in 2021, £1100 by the time of delivery, now this. Genuinely impossible to have nice things in this country at the moment. What's the point of working for anything if they're going to fuck you over with it anyway?
The usual compare sites want to more than double my renewal. What the hell is going on? Just outright profiteering.
Anyone had any luck getting a good deal direct from independents?
She's a beauty. It must be a land/space thing, I've never seen the chargers at a UK dealer empty like that. The car parks are so small they're always ICE blocked. Makes them useless out of hours when there's no-one there to move them!
Thanks! We're Sussex to Harrogate so not quite as far, but will need every bit of range. Likely a stop anyway though, so y'know.
Interesting about the sat nav. I downloaded the Tesla app and it was just product pages. Maybe I need to log in to see the network, will check again.
