Oh wait, you are right. The the P=2020, the S=2023. I thought this was just for the 2020 model which is why I made my comment.
So this is even more useless since on the one hand it says model numbers from 2020 to 2023 that are the "ABY1" trim, on the other they say only 600 cars affected.
Yeah, doesn't seem useful.
I get that it isn't sequential (e.g. some serial numbers like 40000 may not be used), but I would expect the beginning number (A50078) to be less than the ending number (A36740).
edit. I didn't realize this for multiple years, the L=2020, the P=2023, so what this...
The notice mentioned cars going back to 2020. I am curious as to why that would be - there must me something in their process that they flagged that has it going back to 2020, across models, but only affecting 600 cars. I think it may be Johan on line 2 during the late shift.
From that link, it looks like they are only replacing some modules, not the battery and only about 606 cars are affected
if you are affected, they will notify you by May 17th
I would be surprised if the parents gave her permission to drive.
I have a hard time believing any parent who can afford a Taycan wouldn't just for an Uber for a late night party.
Although since the other passengers were 19 and 20, it is possible this was her car (graduation gift) and she...
For Electrify America, I think you need to just set up an app on the phone
I have had the same problem with the charging info. I thought it had to do with updates to the phone, but after I charge the car, it takes a while for Apple to realize what the new charging level is.
I tried...
Unless one doesn't have a charger in their garage, how many people need more than 200 miles for a daily driver?
And except for Home Depot runs and large family events, I am surprised that people think it has limited space for a daily driver. I just moved my son from LA back to the Bay Area...
Hi.
I am going to be in LA next week and looking for some recommended canyon or fun drives.
not interested in sight seeing (eg not ocean drive just for the ocean, but if it is a fun drive, that would work)
Recommendations?
thanks
HI,
I am going to be in LA next week and was looking for some recommendations about fun drives for the Taycan. I am more interested in Canyons and fun drives than scenic (e.g. a drive along the coast).
Any recommendations?
Thanks!
Reg
It is only important to people who care if they are being lied to when they are told about the performance of the car. I get that in the post-truth world, a lot of people don't care about the truth.
No, if you think about it, you would know that that is the main trick of an EV.
I don't...
this "standard" they set includes nerfing the performance of the battery

as well as features.

Didn't they do something...
There is no reason for them to update the capacity or power. They prefer you just get a new car after 3-4 years if you really are chasing a little extra power.
They may do a PCM upgrade if it is totally backward compatible with the hardware, but I doubt the hardware would be.
Ok, then 2025 in limited quantity if it is typical Tesla. Musk was able to collect government money for announcing the swappable battery packs and we all know how that worked out.
