I just checked this on my car. At first it was not there, then after a couple of minutes it changed to the red. I wonder if it was the phone itself pushing the icon into the system (if that makes sense). I did get a map upgrade the other day, but there was an announcement of that.
I think it would be great if everyone would make that request.
