At about 7 minutes, they claim they could not use the car on a regular basis since range mode limits to 70 mph, and the maximum speed in his area is 70 mph, but people drive 80 mph. He then goes on to say that that would apply to the majority of the US since 70 is the max speed in many states...
in the charging NA app, it says plug and charge is enabled for my car and In Speaking with EA, they said they just have begun the rollout so hopefully only a matter of time
I was ready to sell my 4S for the RWD until I saw that it only did 42km of drifting. Since my commute is 44km, I was hoping it would do at least that. I may wait until next year.
It really is not worth the effort. I gave up that long ago and am happier for it!
Besides, I would be really surprised if a main criteria in cross shopping an S with a Taycan is range. It is like saying that a Camry gets better gas mileage than a 911.
The interesting thing about your chart is...
From the manual, I thought it was a swiping motion (e.g. from left to right), but it is not. It is kicking from the back of the car towards the front - aiming to kick under the car by the “C in “Porsche”.
uhhh, the EPA has been "testing" Tesla long before Trump was in office and the results from that didn't match real world either. The testing protocol was defined ages ago too. Not everything is Trump's fault.
Am new to bikes on the roof rack - I used to put on back of previous car - but I did also buy the roof rack. But, why is it that you take the front wheel off? Is it aerodynamics or that it is safer or some other reason? Thanks.
I did hear back from a VP of Customer Experience at PCNA who wrote:
I expect that they want to be careful about over promising since in software development, who knows what can happen...and when.
Well, that is confusing and inconsistent with what they say elsewhere.
From the manual, page 79.
(That is for temps between -20C to 30C)
The 85% listed in your post is how much you should max charge if the ambient temp is over 30C.
The only thing you are missing is "marketing".
Good enough is good enough. I don't remember the 0-60 times of any of the cars I owned, I just knew they were good enough for me. Now it is about range. Pre-covid, I would do maybe 2-3 long trips a year, so whether the car does 220 or 270...
I think emailing is a good idea, but the question is whether there are people lower in the org who would be more likely to even read emails coming in from people ? I imagine the CEO gets tons of emails with someone else determining which ones get answered
From my experience, it would take a LOT of effort to get only 49 kWh/100 miles. Nothing close to "normal" driving under average conditions. I get between 30 and 33 depending on driving style.
Check with your dealer for which ship you are scheduled on. It is available in the dealer system (same one where they show the schedule, just a different tab). My car got to the port around when a ship was loading, but wasn't scheduled for that ship and so it didn't make it on that one and had...
Do you remember if that screen is new?
Can also be that the account info is not yet updated (e.g. it talks successfully to the car, but the car doesn't communicate that my account has the free charging yet). I will check again tomorrow. Just guessing here. Also possible that an update is...
