4S - Is all wheel drive better then rear wheel drive

I thought range mode was truly only 2 wheel drive, although not sure if it is front or rear wheel drive. I know it limits some of the power but when you just want driving efficiency who cares. I use it a lot when I'm just driving on the highway and want to maximize my range. In any case I would...

How do you decide when/whether to replace the undertray?

I ran over some road debris and put a hole into this cover, it is some form of fiber board not plastic. I ordered a new one from my dealer ~$400 and replaced it myself using my 4 post lift to put the car in the air. Took maybe 20 minutes or so.

Think about buying a Porsche taycan for a daily driver

I replaced the tires that came with the car at the beginning of the year 1/25, this is my 2nd set. The originals and replacements are Continental All Season 20". I got 10.5k from the original set, replaced due to excess wear on the inside front tires.

Think about buying a Porsche taycan for a daily driver

Mine is a not quite 3 year old daily driver with 17k miles on it. So far other than recalls the only service has been the 2 year service which was under 1k, don't remember the exact amount. I'm just put on my 2nd set of tires but no other issues/repairs.

Ford vs Porsche and “other drivers”

I wonder if the reaction varies between sedan and wagon, as I have the sport wagon and mostly seem to get ignored. I did have a guy tail gate me one time and then follow me into a store, turns out he was trying to read the script on my tail and couldn't (black against dark blue) to figure out...

Tayberius III First Voyage - Comparing J1 and J1.2

I wish they would put the NVA in the heads up display instead of having to look down at the dash, but that said I do like that it will pop up the NVA into the dash if it detects something and I don't have it active in the dash display. Also the integrated emergency braking has saved me 1 or 2...

[North America] - Porsche's official guides to charging

@cometguy I was told by my service advisor that the reason to lock the car is it ensures that all the modules go to sleep.

Fake simulated gear changes coming to Porsche EVs ?

I'm with Murph7355, I'd rather Porsche spent the money fixing things like the PCM so it actually works instead of having to reboot the thing every week or so to fix the freezing issues, not connecting issues, etc. Once that stuff works like it supposed to then they can worry about fake noise...

Why resolving issues takes so long

For what it's worth, it's the same process for the ICE cars and just as bad. My wife's Boxster sat 6 weeks with our dealer while Germany tried to figure out what was wrong, at least they generally have loaners readily available. Turns out a redesigned fuel injector that was supposed to be...

TOP THREE THINGS WE LOVE ABOUT OUR TAYCANS!

    1) The ride, acceleration, & handling 2) The low cost of maintenance 3) The looks, the down side of that is the number of almost accidents that I see when other drivers stare at the car instead of where they are driving

Things that make me super-hate my Taycan (nits and rants)

All of your items Derek and add a couple more, at least 75% of the time I input my PIN it fails to go through and I have to enter it a second time. Also having 2 phones connected at the same time seems to confuse Android Auto and it drops the connection to my phone. I have talked with the...
