Its a great offer, but in the same way a red flag that the J1.2 isnt immune to the EV-depreciation. However since you are looking for a 25' Taycan I would rather have the Turbo S with a good discount (and extended warranty - costs about 2500euro for an extra 2 years) then a brand new 'common' 4S that would clearly depreciate 30% the second you it touches the asphalt.

I've got the massage seats in my CT TS and, sure it is nice but not a game changer. And reading about the AR from @Perry it isnt a deal breaker. The J1.2 has the new updated airsuspension which based on other post here also add a different feeling

Try the Turbo S - worst case you set it in range mode, locked at max 120kph, and then you get to keep your license and money :giggle:
Yes! I’ve decided that after my test drive with the PAR, if I feel indifferent about the suspension and the Turbo S is still available, I’ll probably go for the Turbo S. However, if I’m impressed with the PAR, then I’ll choose the 4S.
The Turbo S is quite a flex, but the power of the new 4S is equivalent to the last gen GTS. Which is already too powerful for 99% of daily use.

But I find it strange that a 250k car loses 80k in 4 months and 10k KM…
it’s a demo/press vehicle. They tend to be discounted quite a bit because they undergo a lot of abuse.

That is true. I have found 3 seperate Youtubers using the exact same vehicle. But that scares me a bit. How badly abused will it be? o_O
For sure I will make them inspect the bottom plate. Not in the mood for 40k repair…

I'm not sure there is much damage you can do to an electric car, they don't need warming up like ICE., just check the underbody plate is mint with no dents!

I think handling will be very similar (given you have all handling options selected on the 4S), the Turbo S has PCCBs that might give it a slight edge over standard steel rotors but unlikely to be noticeable on such a heavy car.

The turbo (never mind turbo S) power is crazy, I am enjoying being able to easily spin the rear wheels in the dry, immature I know but fun.

The 20% depreciation is more of a financial technicality on the dealer’s end rather than anything inherently wrong with the car. That said, demand for the Taycan has been slower here in the Netherlands, with only 158 registered vehicles to date, which explains why prices haven’t stayed inflated. Just to clarify — no one’s actually losing money here!

the Turbo S has PCCBs that might give it a slight edge over standard steel rotors but unlikely to be noticeable on such a heavy car.
Firstly, the standard rotors are cast iron, steel is very poor for friction brakes and afaik apart from a short period using stainless steel for cosmetic reasons nobody uses steel for brake discs. I realise internet car forums are awash with this misinformation but I am a bit pedantic.

Secondly in the tests I have done over the years cast iron brakes always gave better feel and were better from cold and in the wet than composite.
Composite brakes were (much) better for weight, that is why we used them. When 10kg extra weight loses 0.35 secs per lap, as it did, it was a no brainer.

If PCCBs are better than the standard Taycan brakes in limit conditions it is FAR more likely to be because they are a bigger diameter with bigger calipers than the disc or pad material...

By abuse I don’t mean that they may have damaged the chassis but more like launch control 100 times, hard acceleration and braking. The electric and mechanical components have more wear and tear than if you have driven the same distance. It’s covered under warranty so you should be safe.

Let me put it this way, it’s like dating a hot chick who has had a high body count in the past….if that doesn’t bother you get the turbo s and you will have a lot of fun

If im not mistaken the car keeps track of how many launch controls have been done, I think i've seen that value when I connected an obd scanner to check the battery health ... the dealer will be able to give you that number as well.
I think mine was 6 ... you really dont do it all that often, its plenty fast off the line without launch control.

Nailed it!
The 4S is like a librarian with no fashion sense but you get a couple drinks in her and she let's her hair down and your thinking "damn, she is hot and I never really noticed."
Metaphors are fun?
