Well. Don't electrocute yourself. If you really are an 'owner', as your screen name insists.. I would absolutely involve a Porsche certified shop in this.

Also, I like the big thumbs up emojis and all, but the currency of the realm is an actual like, you could hit that button if what I said was useful to you. :D Thanks.

And, Good luck!

There was a small accident. the hood was replaced, new airbags bought, plastics all kinds of things, 12 volt battery, but still do not start, I wanted to understand how to turn on the relay
You had a wreck where airbags deployed and you’re doing the repairs yourself? Are you the owner or are you a shop? Copart?

Why do you all Americans ask so many inappropriate questions, I asked you a question if you can help just do taht, if you do not know the answer to my question don't ask strange and irrelevant questions. In the aforementioned question, I did not say that the airbags have changed myself, or in any kind of service, you do not even know Im in America or not, but I see you critics and demagogs here are full, you're second who asks if the car is mine or not, I want to immediately satisfy your interest, yes it is my car. And I'm not in the States, and if you or any of you do not make a difference to me who, do not know the answer to my question, do not ask anything and keep your comments to yourself
Thanks in advance
I'm sorry but I think you're being a bit harsh here. It's natural that people feel curious. Albeit some of us like DIY stuff or will eventually let a third party shop spray our bumpers in case of some minor scuffs, it's not common at all someone DIY repair a car with deployed airbags. Specially not a car from 2021 that is probably still under warranty. I mean, once repaired outside of the Porsche Network, I can't see Porsche accepting any warranty claim whatsoever on any other component that might fail while under warranty. Imagine your gearbox or motor failing in 3 or 4 months. What then? The dealer is going to refuse any liability once they find out the car has been repaired off the grid. I don't know. Your car, your decision. It's just not the norm around the world.

To be fair, I did see similar stuff with Tesla around here. The cars are produced in the USA, no real dealership/repair network here so whenever there are minor dings, most insurance companies rather declare the car totaled then bear with the time (months) and cost (over exagerated) of a repair. Some owners aren't willing to get 60% of the car's value after a year or two so try to get the car repaired anyway outside the network with mixed results.

I hope you fix you car.

Good luck

Overreact much? :CWL: It was a simple question on a public forum. If you don’t want discussion, don’t post on a public discussion forum. And your (over)reaction indicates that my question may have been a valid one.

Great first post btw.

Oh, and as regards where you are, your profile says Los Angeles…

To recap this thread, you signed on anonymously onto a public forum, and - as your very first question - you asked how to defeat a fundamental safety system of the car, specifically after an accident.

I do agree there was a technical question wrapped in all that, but surely you must realize how many non-technical concerns this raises, no? You then took offense when those concerns did come up, and you rightly put "the Americans" in their place.

Your case may be legitimate or not, but out of self-preservation you may want to avoid anything 'orange' in your new car. Oh, and try posting your question on RennList - that's our sister forum, and far friendlier.

The location is declared; the country flag comes from the ip 'lot' where the most recent new sign on took place. (Or some other convoluted logic, I need to ask Admin to fix mine.) OP appears to have logged on from Armenia.

Exactly
They are all uncertified experts, they all think that they can speak about a person in this way, questioning my words, this in the country where I was born and raised does not look nice, we all have to be responsible for our words.Given the distance and the fact that we are in the online. sphere, I just tried to explain and not to offend with my words
You may have missed my point, as I was siding with the others on this thread. What you asked here is a red flag. I don't know how you would not have realized that. Secondly, "back at home" culture, or "in person" behavior does not translate online; it helps to have a bit thicker of a skin when posting on a public forum, and not take questions personally. No one here asked truly personal (as in 'identifying') questions, the concern was that someone is trying to put back on the road a crashed Taycan. With advice from a public forum, no less.

thanks for rennlist though
I may have trolled you on that one ? - this forum is probably the gentlest/most polite of car forums I've ever visited. You may find a different reaction on RennList, but good luck nonetheless.

Dude, holy fuck are you overreacting. You post a unique question, get the obvious questions, and you freak out. Are you new to the Internet and how forums work?

You come on here, never having contributed to the forum. You ask a quite unusual question, one that raises obvious curiosities and questions which, since this is a discussion forum, get asked. You proceed to freak out and attack people based on their nationality. Did you just finish reading How to Win Friends and Influence People?

Oh and if you don’t want people to assume that you live where your profile indicates, maybe spend five minutes completing your profile before you start posting on the forum asking for help. Not that your location matters to the discussion.

If airbags were deployed its a serious accident and if battery was damaged (you don't know what happened inside) you shouldn't keep it near your house. Take it to Porsche in other country even if your car history will be fucked.
