I placed my order at a dealer in Atlanta on June i to the port and then the long trip I boat to the Jacksonville Port. It arrived in Jacksonville last week today I received a message that it was on a one day trip to my dealer in Atlanta. I expect the car to be ready for pick up on Monday or Tuesday, November 18 or 19. This is exactly in line with the dates I found in the Porsche app. There were no unusual delays other than I hoped it would be transported to the dealer five or six days ago. Lastly, I love your color since I also ordered Neptune blue. However, mine will have mission E wheels. Hopefully, I will post more Information after I’ve had a chance to drive the car. I know how it feels to wait for the car so just have patience. By the way, my car is RWD with four-wheel steering. I know they just released a model four for only a little more money. If I had the chance I would’ve ordered the model four.
I don’t know if delays are occurring elsewhere in the world, but here in Seattle, my RWD 2025 Taycan is now scheduled to arrive weeks if not months after the original estimated date.

When I ordered the car, on Sept. 27, 2024, the “Porsche Sales & Vehicle Management System” print-out supplied by my dealer (Porsche Bellevue) gave the estimated dates of Oct. 23 for completion, Nov. 9 for shipping, Dec. 19 for arrival in Benecia, Calif., and Dec. 20 for delivery to the dealer.

On Oct. 22 I received pictures of it being manufactured (or purporting to be such pictures, one day ahead of estimated completion. Yet my dealer emailed me on Nov. 4 that “Porsche had to shift some production around at the factory” so that “it looks like we’re shooting for a late January arrival.”

When I responded that it seemed odd that production changes would affect my car, since it apparently had already been completed, the dealer replied, “Porsche hasn’t provided a specific reason for the date adjustments. They have simply moved the estimated dates.” Which didn’t make much sense to me.

The My Porsche app, which ostensibly lets me track my car’s progress, hasn’t updated in weeks. It says manufacturing started Oct. 15, is due to be completed Dec. 2 (seven weeks??), the car is set to ship Dec. 2-4, and it will arrive at my dealer between Jan. 10 and March 2, 2025.

This means a delivery delay of between six weeks (Dec. 20 – Jan. 31) and 10+ weeks (Dec. 20 – March 2) compared to the Sept. 27 estimate.

Hey, stuff happens, and no doubt it’s worth waiting for, but I’m wondering if anyone else is experiencing something similar.

P.S. The 19” wheels aren’t at all ugly to me, so no snarky comments please.

Considering the depreciation of the taycan, the best taycan to buy remains the basic specs. No options.

Just found out that my dates have slipped 1w compared to where they were 3w ago. CP8 moved from Jan 31st to "early Feb". CT4S order placed Aug 30 and confirmed in the Porsche system Sept 5.
To date, my CP8 has slid 3 weeks total.

I had lost a Sept build slot to deviated stitching only being available "from October" prior to this.

On the flip side, a base Taycan is a very expensive proposition to get a car with a plastic interior and a ubiquitous dealer lot spec.

I have recently been a little been more open minded about specs.
My taycan was under warranty repair and the loaner was a bare rwd taycan with no options, just leather interior.
It was nice and nothing really bothered me and the very expensive upgrade on my CT, extended leather, I don’t think it is worth the cost!
Second warranty repair had a brand new 911 basic spec manual! What a joy! No options at all.
I kind of appreciate the basics specs more than I thought!
If I was to buy another Taycan, for me, RWD + 20” alloys and folding mirrors.
