Hello everyone,

I know there is a lot out on this topic but thought I’d revive and see if there is any information since no dealer can answer the question ( perhaps telling ) -

for the last few days I got my hands on a gorgeous Cayenne EV Turbo for testing. But one thing I left that car not understanding - is why on earth can get my apple or Google Maps wrong projected in the center cluster ( curved screen ) - in my 2026 Taycan CT!!!

is this coming? What do people know?
thanks for the help!

No, it's not coming.

In MY26 j1.2 you have google/apple maps turn by turn; from carplay / android auto - but not the map displayed.

For that, you need a Cayenne EV, Macan EV or Taycan 2027 which will also run on android PCM.

Dealers are not answering your question because they don't want to upset you. The answer is no, because Porsche's stance is that they don't update the software in their older cars.

truly sucks, I am sure there will eventually be an after market software upgrade strategy at one point. Just don’t understand why Porsche would opt for this … don’t get it …. One way to upset your customer base.

I did a bit more digging - I now fully understand the issue. The MY26 in the Taycan J1.2 still on old PCM architecture. The MY27 will
Move to similar in Macan and cayenne EV architecture and technology stack ( android ) - so I guess Porsche can’t do it even if they want to. Not sure architecture, stack and processing can handle it….
