I'm in that zone, where it seems I'm a little away from the turbo. But I spec'd the same in turbo, and there is still a $30k difference. Here's my build. Would love feedback. Big mission-e fan, so that explains the splurge on the wheels + brakes. I live in NYC and this is my only car. Mainly to be used for going away from the city. Performance is important which is why I'm getting PB+. I didn't go for the performance package though because I'm not thinking about going to track. Would anyone recommend otherwise. GT kind of car and often on longer drives (NYC - BOS). Also, didn't like the casing for HUD, which is why it seems I'm paying more than the tech package. Currently, I'm still split about - Olea basalt black and the aluminum rhombus package. I think I like what I have on the car but just feels so much spent on options. Not going to lease because an MSRP of 130k+ won't residualize the additions.

Did anyone's 4S go beyond $140k & are you happy with that

My MSRP was about the same as yours. I'm very happy. I don't think there are any options I'd give back.

I do have the performance package. I felt that if I was going to have a Porsche, I wanted it to be as "Porsche" as possible. To me, that means ticking every single performance box.

If you aren't getting the tech package, I'd suggest dropping the passenger display. It's more useful than I expected it to be, so I don't regret spending the $100 extra (or whatever it was) to upgrade to the tech package and get it. But I still would never spec it on its own.

The HUD "bump" isn't as offensive in person as the pictures make it seem. It honestly doesn't bother me at all, and I went back and forth on it a lot. My wife and I both really love the HUD.

I'm not sure I would bother getting the colored headlights. I don't think the color really shows at all.

I always recommend against all-season (aka no-season) tires.

Beautiful build! We considered white briefly, but my wife wanted something a little more daring, so we are doing frozen blue with the painted mission E wheels. We are just under $135k, as we aren’t adding many of the interior and accent options you selected. And we aren’t doing the chrono package, power charge port or the 150kw/400v charger. But did elect to do the tech package, mostly for the ACC with the HUD a close second, passenger display and remote park assist just bonuses. We keep making changes though.

With as much in options as you have selected, I’m not sure you can plan to recoup that much in a resale anymore on a purchase vs the lease, so you’ll likely pay for it one way or another. But, if you plan to keep it longer than a lease, or it would significantly enhance your enjoyment of the car so be it, get it just how you want it. It’s a Porsche, what’s the fun if you don’t go a bit over the top! Btw, our SA told us the lease MRM on the 4S with PB+ is now $135k, if that makes a difference for you. We keep going back and forth on loan vs lease, but even if we did a 72 month loan, at the end of 39 months the loan balance would have us roughly $10k in equity compared to the residual value on a 39mo/$135k/10,000 mile lease with similar payments. So we may do that instead. But we have plenty of time to figure that out, just trying to finalize our build before our freeze date!

Thanks ! that s great to know. Is the 135 MRM for 2021 or 2022 ? My dealer said the 2022 numbers aren’t out yet.

So thinking of the following options
RAS
ACC
Remote Park Assist (w/ LCA)
Olea
Passenger display

It won’t pick all these. but any thoughts on which I should prioritize . I’m stuck with ACC too. thinking to get the hardware for the 2050 and then hope overtime innodrive will improve. Could come in handy when driving across states.

I’m fairly sure those were still 2021 numbers, our SA suggested if they move it would likely go up slightly. But we’ll have to see what happens when 2022 numbers are published.

No experience with RAS, those who have it seem to like it.

ACC, we had a 2017 Macan S without it, and now a 2020 with it, probably wouldn’t go without it if at all possible going forward.

My wife wants the passenger display, both loaners we’ve used had it. If we are in the car together she makes a great copilot. It does make for a pretty stunning display, but if you won’t have passengers often I’d leave it off.

Remote parking is probably pretty gimmicky, our SA commented that it takes too long so it can make busy parking lots more problematic. I wouldn’t get it if it weren’t part of the tech package. My wife has anxiety about parking lots, so she wants it more than me, but we haven’t seen it in action, so we’ll see. She already parks the Macan far out away from other cars, the Taycan she’ll probably park three parking lots away! In the big city you might find it more useful and worthy.

Type of leather/interior is a fairly intimate preference, we’ve never had upgraded leather in our Macans, and can’t say we miss it or wish we had it. But again, if it’s something that will bring you joy, go for it.

Don’t know enough about innodrive to make an informed recommendation.

I did a similar build as you. I opted out of all the packages and only spec'd the stuff that I wanted from each package. I didn't want any driver assist stuff because I like to drive the car myself and I find those features intrusive. I didn't want the pano roof because I think the car looks a lot better without it. I didn't need an Ionizer or storage package or motorized charge door or sport sound or any other features I felt were gimmicks. I just wanted a nice driving car that is comfortable with a good stereo. I think I built the (for me) the ultimate "GT" car. So pumped to get it!

Here is my build: http://www.porsche-code.com/PNUQKAH3

The only option I went for on your list is the RAS, and my 4S sedan build is at $158k! Haha ??‍♂

Thanks! I’ve never got feedback about park assist and I think what you say, is quite possible. So best to leave it out.

Now I’m wondering what that is like !
Sure thing! Porsche code: PN5CX5R5

Granted I’m a very visual and artistic person and I racked up costs on smaller visual touches in addition to all the performance stuff. Also I’m a musician and stereo fidelity is huge for me when cruising so I coughed up the large chunk for the Burmeister system. Overall, I ended up about $25k over budget ??‍♂ Hahahha
But since it’s been a dream of mine since I was 14…I’m doing ok at rationalizing it.. ?
