I looked in to wrapping these too and was told it is not possible to wrap plastic directly unless it is sanded down and primed before hand - something I would not want to do with my brand new car.
This doesn't sound right to me. If you can get an entire car wrapped, like I plan to do, there shouldn't be any reason they couldn't wrap only specific panels for you.

Well I have spoke to the best wrapping companies in the UK and all have said wrapping plastic is not possible unless it is primered or painted. If you manage to have this magically done would love to hear the outcome :)

I guess they don't wrap plastic because the longevity is poor. And any decent wrapping company won't want to be associated with social media stories of their wraps starting to fail after xx months.

Nope, they don't wrap plastic because they can't. The Vinyl won't stick to plastic as I have said numerous times above, until it is painted or primered.

Well I learnt something new today. Even though over the years I have seen loads of Vinyl wrap videos it never crossed my mind that hard plastic couldn't be wrapped.

Anyhow, your finished result sounds awesome and I can't wait to see the photos!

Adhesive vinyl is not used to wrap cars as glue is involved so a big no no. Heated Vinyl is s different type of wrap which was pioneered by 3M and can be applied and peeled of using a heat gun or even a hair dryer.

Looks cool all painted, but expensive and probably hard not to scratch

Great find - will be exactly what I have done. Doesn't seem that expensive in UK at least.

The above seem to be photoshopped or the car has been modified with bespoke body parts. They are not original Taycan bumpers. Here is what it will look like with standard parts painted.

Does anyone have a Taycan with the jet black running boards? Are you seeing scratches? The ones I saw at the Frankfurt Motor Show (yes, lots of entries/exits) looked terrible. The carbon fiber ones looked great. I do believe you'll see quite a few scratches if you paint.

I just had my car ceramic coated and they did all the plastic parts also, looks great to me after it cures for a day I will post some pics, protected and looks darker, this will tell you if you want it Wrapped or painted, did look different

Definitely would like to see the ceramic coating. I'm planning on doing this to the wheels and the wrapped (Expel) car.

I have a 4S and the bumpers are identical to the Turbo and Turbo S - the only change is what is painted and what is carbon - the shapes are the same and what you posted above is not a genuine bumper - it has been modified and not only painted.
