hi Bastiaan,

PC Rotterdam imports Taycans themself :) I bought a 22 GTS ST from them on the 1st of november.
It broke down (yellow ring) on the 22nd of December and since I live near PC Gelderland I let it ship there.
31st december they got data out of the car, send it to Porsche in Germany who diagnosed 1 faulty cell in the HV battery. (Jan 6th)
They are planning to start fixing it the 9th of Feb. So when it returns it's been in the shop longer than on my driveway.

When I had a Tesla, everybody complained about service / parts availability. had 2 issues in 4 years. One solved on the driveway, the other one (krakende draagarmen) in the shop which cost me 4 hours waiting.

For now I got a Macan EV loaner, definately not my preferred car, however my girl loves the Macan (she never drove the Taycan).
edit: just got an e-mail, they want the macan back, i'll get an Audi A3..

Yes, things break down, but waiting 2 weeks before diagnoses start(even with christmas en NY) 6 weeks before they start repairing is in my opinion not even close to be called 'service'. They should have got the data out the day it got into the shop, based on the data allocate a preliminary repair slot and after getting the diagnoses back from Porsche Germany confirm the allocated slot.
this would bring the total repair time back to 50% or less.
Sorry to hear that, that's a really shitty experience. At least Porsche Rotterdam have been pretty responsive and fast when issues do occur. Only crappy loaners though ;)

Just read a few articles re UK new car sales figures for 2025.
Basically saying that EV prices will have to go up, as they are currently costing manufacturers £11k per car sold.
Completely unsustainable.
If new prices increase, I would imagine used will start to follow.
Have to go up for manufacturers to make a profit and continue selling them? Yes

Can go up? Very different question as that is market and consumer driven. Simple supply and demand is driving things right now and manufacturers supplied too many vehicles (both in quantity and variety of models) to sustain the current prices let alone an increase.

FWIW, the used prices (at least in the US) have gone up in the last year or so. They were way too high in 2022, went way too low in 2023-2024 and somewhat stabilized in 2025.

Do you think it's possible that Porsche has a better mechanism to tell you about the recalls? I.e., my wife's Lexus had a recall that I would not have known about if I didn't subscribe to a Lexus forum.

Since owning it I’ve had:
- broken heater
- broken 22kwh charging port, car towed
- sudden 12v battery issue, car towed
- unexplained “electrical system fault”, car towed (dealer tested for a week, could not find anything)

And this morning I had the “electrical system fault” again while driving home. Now the car won’t open/start. So calling the dealer for a tow again…
Not sure if it helps, but I had those exact problems too. "Booster" was replaced by Porsche Centrum Gelderland since both Amsterdam and Rotterdam refused to fix it. Try another centre, as PCs owned by PON are absolute disasters. They do not even try to fix your problems.
