I got my CT in mid January, it's a 2022 and arrived on the Glovis Supreme. Just got to 1k miles. It's been awesome so far.

I am pretty happy with how this turned out...

Porsche Taycan Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo CT in Neptune Blue with Satin PPF Film RS

SatinGuard on all the Neptune Blue surfaces, plus the black door handles (to reduce fingerprints.) Clear film on all the other gloss black surfaces (diffuser, etc. and everything close to the ground.) Then ceramic coating all around, including calipers and wheels.

The shop did quite a nice job, here's a pretty close shot of some of the edges.

It was in the shop for almost two weeks, but I think it was worth it. I already had a super hard pebble hit and it wiped right off with a microfiber cloth! It's super smooth and slippery to the touch, really easy to wipe off bugs, gifts from the birds, etc..

Thought I'd share for all those Neptune fans out there.

I love how it almost looks like an RC buggy from above!

It's set to second from lowest in this one:

I hope y'all enjoy these pics as you consider your cosmetic enhancements :)

Not thought much of Neptune before, always looks a bit washed out to my eyes. But that looks great!

Really liking satin wraps. The edge situation is a concern, but yours also look great. Do you have close ups of any edges that might show? Leading edge of the headlamps where a few panels join? Door shuts? Etc.

Great color, great looking spec build. Neptune is really nice, and the Satin makes it even more unique. I'm sure this car turns a lot of heads. Bravo.
I was on Glovis in January as well- you got your plate already?

Hey there! Yes I remember you from the Glovis Supreme forum. How’s your car treating you?

My plates came on 2/10, I did my pickup on about 1/10, so call it four weeks. Applied for the CAV HOV stickers as soon as the plates came. On my previous EV (purchased in may 2021) those took another 8 weeks. Also… 2021 stickers were blue which would have likely been quite tolerable for my setup here. But I saw my first set of 2022 yesterday and it looks like they’re yellow. Eesh. That’s going to stick out like a sore thumb. I shoulda got the carbon brakes ;-) at least I coulda had matching Calipers like mr Rivian here…

Indeed, the Neptune is quite subdued. I'm not a fan of the Gentian because it's too normal of a color these days. I do like the Frozen but it's also a bit Miami for my taste. As you see, the Neptune pops out way more with the satin wrap. These pics were taken in the evening when the sun was under the horizon. In the sunlight it really pops.

This one was taken in direct sunlight.

As you can see, it's **BLUE**! I love this appearance, it's like toy car blue, and what I was really going for was something fun and playful as opposed to stealthy or sinister... although that can be cool sometimes as well. I like the irony of the $200k playful car.

As for the seams, the guys in the shop I used custom cut each panel's film, they do not use templates, so they can account for part to part variation. They clearly did they best to wrap around the edges of the body panels where possible. Here are a couple pics like you asked for... it's not *perfect* but you have to acknowledge just how much of a closeup this is. I've got good eyes and I need to get within about 12 inches to see the edges.

Looks like some pollen settled on the car overnight. That's not under the film. The panel gap variation and the wandering rubber seals are more noticeable than the film edges, IMO.

Leading edges here, both from a super close and more reasonable distance.

Porsche Taycan Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo CT in Neptune Blue with Satin PPF Film hl_edge_less_clos

To me the biggest pain points are on the handles, but they still did nice work there, and I'm sure they'd be willing to get them a little tune up if this gets worse over time.

Hopefully this is helpful. Long story short, if you want to find the edges and look for the flaws, you can find them. Take just one step back and put down the magnifying glass, and it's almost like it was painted with a matte paint. Overall, I'm happy. But this shop charges about twice as much as places that stick on pre-cut template sheets, which will never actually get around the edges of the panels, and tend to build up dirt and become more and more visible. You get what you pay for here.

I have a Neptune car and I think the photos are likely a little manipulated in exposure and color

I used an iPhone 13 Pro to take the pics, and I adjusted nothing after the fact. Of course, there is tons of automatic adjustment that happens in the phone's software. So call it "full auto mode." As you can see from the above, though, it did bring out the in-sun and in-shade differences, and to my eye the pics look just like the car. Since you have a Neptune, you know how different it can look in different light. It's no different with the Satin films on. Deep in the shade, pops in the sun. But the "baseline," if you will, is definitely a more saturated appearance with the SatinGuard films. When the shop gave it back to me I think they were even slightly nervous and said "as you can see it looks totally different in color."

This looks amazing! Would you mind sharing what you paid for the work (roughly)? Thanks
It was around ten grand including the ceramics all around and tinting four windows. This is a *very* rough number as I'd like to be respectful of both the business and myself

Thanks for this - looks excellent. As you note, if you go looking for faults you'll find them (have to say the seal anomalies were the thing that made me wince most :)).

Interesting it doesn’t even look Neptune anymore. What is the film maker?

Fletcher,

Car looks great! Love the black door handle detail. My CT4 was also off the Glovis Supreme and having a great experience thus far as well. Was worried about getting the 21's, but not an issue.

Got my plates last week and immediately ordered a black (heritage) set. HOV stickers are a hard pass. Made two attempts to live with them on my e-tron. They lasted two days the first time and less than day the second time. Purple horror! Luckily, I don't have a regular commute so not giving up much. Used precut PPF film backers both times so install/removal was easy. Highly recommended.

You mentioned you got tint as well. Looks like you went with the same all around. 50%? I'm trying to decide on levels for my appointment Wednesday. Assuming you have the thermal insulated glass as well?

TIA. Looking good!
