I am hoping to receive my GTS in Q3 and I have narrowed it down to mamba or Neptune, both with a PPF satin wrap
I think they both look great, the images are from other owners in the group. I was wondering does anyone have any images or walk around of their cars with a similar satin ppf please? ??

I don’t really know much about this (so sorry if a stupid question) but if you know you are going to have it wrapped, why not spec a plain white car and have a coloured wrap? That way you can probably have choice of a much wider range of colours. Or are there too many bits that aren’t wrapped where you will see the white?

It's a good question and the main reason is the ppf is 3mm thick and offers a lot more protection, self healing etc, than a standard wrap

If I had to choose I'd lean to the Mamba just because in the pics provided, the green satin seems to compliment/highlight the lines of the car better than the blue imo. And for some reason the blue just looks very flat in satin! But I suspect you already know what you want, - its such a personal choice - so go for it :)

thanks for your thoughts! Yes your right, think I have, I'm struggling to resist those lines in a Matt mamba ???

Stek PPF is available in several colors such as Miami Blue, metallic green, and metallic purple. This is not a wrap, this is full thickness PPF with the hydrophobic coating that replaces separate ceramic coat. @Adrian@GlasWerksDMV posted about this here:

My car order is neptune, but I think I too prefer the mamba in satin. Both look great though

'tis my Neptune one you're referencing here with your pics. Let me know if you'd like any videos/pics to help make the call, I'd be happy to help.

Honestly, I looove matte cars, but IMO the Taycan just isn’t a fit for it. I wanted satin ppf too but every Taycan I saw with it just didn’t look great to me. Took me a while to put my finger on it, but I believe it’s the angles. Matte looks better on cars with many sharp angles imo, but on a Taycan with all of its smooth rounded corners, a deep gloss would look a lot better

Nick Murray did a YouTube video in which he considered satin PPF for his Mamba Green Macan S. He decided against it, and his reasonings are in this video:
