Volcanic grey or mamba green!!! ??

My recommendation is to fully build a volcano grey and a mamba green spec and put them side by side. Every Porsche paint color looks good in isolation. However, as a package (with trim color, interior, wheels, etc) one is likely to be more pleasing overall to you than another. I think mamba green is fine but it is harder to put together into a cohesive look. I have seen very few vehicles that look great in mamba green as a complete package…..most are just ok.

I echo this post all the way. I was set on mamba green initially, but found that the only color that it goes with is black/high gloss black. It limited the interior choices and wheel options dramatically. Eventually I settled on white.

There is a mamba green macan in my neighborhood and I see it everyday. When I first saw it in the sun I was amazed by it. But honestly speaking I’m getting tired of that color now that I see it all the time. I am glad I didn’t go with mamba green.

Mamba all the way! It is such a fabulous colour, and as others have said, photos do not do it justice. Even under grey English skies it catches your eye, but it’s not an ‘in your face’ colour. My mamba CT4S arrives at the dealership next month. I’ve gone for a slate grey interior.

I was torn by the same choice but opted for Volcano because I, like you, am definitely not a 'loud' person, but also I use the car for work visiting clients and the volcano wasn't as flashy and in your face. When I visited the dealer to order I walked in and there was a Volcano car in the showroom. I'd never even considered the colour because I have an identical coloured Audi right now, but for me it was an instant "yes that's the colour".

Mind you the care isn't allocated yet so I may change my mind!

Grey never looks bad. But it is not unique. I disagree that Mamba Green is limiting or “hard to configure”. I think that it does look best with high gloss trim on the exterior, but the Vesuvius standard trim on the Off Road package for CT looks great too. Most, if not all, of the wheels look great. A nice wheel will continue to look nice with mamba, while an ugly wheel will continue to be ugly with mamba. I'm not sure Mamba has a serious impact on wheel choice. I personally went for carbon fiber, but any black, silver or grey wheels look great.

For the interior, I went for Olea leather and two-tone Black/Atacama Beige with carbon fiber trim (and the gold highlights that come standard with Olea option), and it looks stunning. But it would also look great with monotone leather in nearly any color ( I personally don’t like red, purple, or blue leather with green), and it looks great with black and contrasting stitch of yellow, green, silver, white etc.

In the end, pick the color that makes YOU feel like this (warning, language, but this song cracks me up each time I hear it):

I;ve just had my mind changed from grey by showing someone at work a pic I took in the dealer and they've said "I refuse to believe that's not your current car" (A5 sportback). I can't spend 100k and get mistaken for a 40k audi so may need to rethink this colour choice...maybe Carmine

In fairness, anyone that confuses an A5 with a Taycan isn’t much of a automotive enthusiast...

Both great colours but you'll get votes for all colours on here. I've currently played safe and have gone for Dolomite silver but keep looking at Volcano.... oh and Genetian blue.... oh and Mamba lol.
I've got to 30th September until lock.

I went with dolomite silver and really love how it looks. But I can see why folks love Mamba - it is gorgeous. Still, I love the way DS looks, but maybe I’m just boring. Really can’t go wrong in my opinion.

Great thread. Volcano grey and mamba green were my two favorite choices. In the end, I went with volcano grey as (i) I was afraid that mamba would suggest the Taycan was my midlife crisis remedy (is it?) and (ii) my wife will drive the car as well, and I'm pretty sure she wouldn't appreciate a loud color like mamba. Happy wife, happy life.

Same, my missus saw a macan in Mamba and didn’t like it at all.
