I think dealers in Canada just do things differently...it seems they tack on stuff like freight and PDI to make up for no ADMs?

I haven't lived in Canada for a while, but I do remember that Freight+PDI was standardized for a particular manufacturer and vehicle model, i.e. everyone paid the same, no matter where in Canada they bought the car. I remember this because I once tried to fight them on it as I lived less than 10km from a factory, so I thought I should not be paying for freight. After researching it, I found out it was fixed, whether you pick it up from the factory yourself or ship it to a dealer on the other side of the country.

All that said, I just looked and Canadian builds online include the following items:

@yankeedoodle , did the dealer charge you those two fees and then $3,400 for Freight+PDI? I would think $1,750 in the build summary is the freight and dealer fee would be the maximum PDI (pre-delivery inspection), but I'm just speculating here.

In case if this helps anyone who is looking, Porsche Beaverton is advertising 3 RWD Taycans and 1 Turbo S in their New Inventory section. Porsche Spokane is advertising one RWD in transit. I am noticing more Taycan availability lately at different dealers. I find it interesting that all those cars are MY22 incoming, which would tell me that they had allocations for which they could not find clients for, or the clients have backed out. Perhaps the slowdown I've been expecting due to economy slump and interest rates going up is beginning.

EDIT: I realized this thread is about MSRP. I don't know whether or not the above dealers are willing to sell at MSRP, they just came out of my periodic internet search. The trend of seeing more of them available though suggests they might be at least negotiable to MSRP.

As you guys know, I've been tracking Taycan inventory/allocations for a while. I honestly haven't seen much improvement overall

My SA had one available incoming 2023 RWD back in July (that sold quickly to a forum member...it has the fancy VLC, which is awesome)...then he got a couple of RWD allocations (that sold to people on here)...then an incoming GTS yesterday (that sold to a forum member; first GTS I've seen available in almost a year)....and now one incoming 2023 RWD (that may have sold, but hopefully it's available if someone here wants to snag it). Add in the CT4 (that I bought) and a gorgeous Ice Grey Turbo Sedan that sold same day, and that's pretty much been it over the past few months.

If you're seeing 2022s pop-up, it's likely because those dealers were gifted cars by PCNA or they had production delays and are just landing. They're definitely the last 2022s made. I think we'll see a lull again in inventory between the period of waiting for a lot of 2023s to land and the remaining 2022s to sell.

In an EV hotspot like CA, some dealers may have a few available units or allocations, but they're available because they're asking ADM. So keep in mind a lot of this is market specific. I'm sure in the Pacific Northwest dealers are charging ADM, hence a couple of units that are still available. Sure, in some MSRP-only markets, cars will sometimes become available (my SA is an example of that), but they're few and far between...at least for now!

No; it looks like its just $3,400 USD for the "Freight + PDI".

In that case, it seems fair...given the configurator says $2,750 Estimate Dealer Fee in addition to the $1,750 Destination Charge.

Yup.

I asked for a discount to MSRP; they said they can't do any discounts haha.

I just spoke to 17 SoCal dealers for Taycan RWD...only two have allocations: one wants $15k, the other $20k. That's how bad things are for Taycans....

I think my SA's 2023 RWD being sold @ MSRP is still available, but I'd have to double check.

I was just made aware of a 2022 CPO Taycan CT4 that my SA has...just under 3k miles, asking about $13k over MSRP (at least you get some value in the CPO). Nice spec, and it's not a bloated MSRP (also avoids the 2023 price increase, so it's more like $9k over with CPO). I can share more details in case someone here is looking for a CT4.

I believe the new, incoming 2023 RWD Sedan I mentioned in a previous post is available...and that's being sold at MSRP (they sell new at MSRP; used at market value).

Haha! Smart idea except they'd pay you sticker on trade, maybe below depending on miles/option/condition/etc.

0 miles, brand new condition, I would not have even sat in it once. You think I could get sticker on trade-in? I'll gladly pocket just the $7,500 tax credit (assuming of course the car is available this year).

If you flip, you can't claim the tax credit because you purchased the car with intent to resale. If you lease, PFS won't pass down the credit. We can discuss this via PM, but there's no $ to be made...really just helps people who get in and out of cars quickly (in this market).

Some people are grandfathered in if they had a deposit and signed agreement before the bill was signed. There are threads on here that mention it.

The main point of this thread isn't to really flip Taycans...more so to help buy them to enjoy at MSRP (or as close to MSRP as possible)
