Hi All:

I have a GTS on order, and delivery is expected by late December (ordered Dec, '21). My family is me, my wife, who is 5'8" and my 15 year old son. When I ordered the car, my son was pretty small. He was 5'3", 100 lbs. Fast forward one year later, and he is 5'9.5", 150, and starting for his freshman high school football team. Heck, he's hardly hit puberty and his doctor thinks he may keep on growing!

Question:
1) Will he fit in the GTS back seat? Perhaps it's best to assume he'll be 6' sometime next year. I currently drive an M4 convertible, 2015, and he fits, but is tight in the back.
2) If I re-ordered as a CT or ST, would that be substantially better for my son in the back? I ski, so I can use the size of the CT/ST. I just preferred the look of the GTS when I ordered.

I'd just head over to my friendly Porsche dealer to sit in one, but there are no cars to sit in!

Thank you for your input!!

The ST/CT have more headroom and are probably better. The legroom is still a little tight for someone over 6 feet IMO. Around town driving would be fine but a road trip may be tough. It’s not just the size of the back seat but the way it has to be entered.

Why not go down to your local dealer and sit in any model of Taycan and try it out - same seats!?

It'll be very tight and not recommended for long drives. He can sit behind your wife as long as she moves the seat up, or she can sit behind him because he's taller.

I'm 6'3" and put the driver's seat all the way back. My 5'6" wife is the shortest in our family. She sits behind me (yeah, I'm the chauffeur) whenever three or four people are in my 2022 RWD.

I would say short trips will be fine for another few years :) but longer trips less so…
