My Taycan had 32,000 km on the clock when a battery cell gave up the ghost.31.03.2024 (that's not a typo) it was brought to the workshop in Bamberg and it is still there today 25.08.24!
According to a Porsche mechanic, Porsche currently only has a few high-voltage workshops because such a high number of battery problems were not expected. I therefore had to wait several months until an appointment became available in my case in Pforzheim. After the battery was repaired, there was also a recall w/ brake hoses, which means that my car is still in the workshop. Reason: brake hoses currently not available.
Initially I was given a Macon as a replacement car, but as I didn't want a combustion engine, partly because of the fuel costs, I was given a Taycan as a replacement car on 23.05.24. I still drive it today. I still drive it today.
To this day, I have received no apology from Porsche for the problem. I have not even been offered any kind of compensation. Is this appropriate behavior towards a customer from a premium manufacturer? My car has been in the workshop for 5 months!

Good evening from USA.

My 2020 Taycan S had a battery problem at 40,000 miles (not km), almost exactly 4 years after purchase. It has been in the shop now for 8 weeks. The battery has been taken out, and they have run tests on it. I don't know yet whether the whole battery, or just some cells, will be replaced.

To their credit, Porsche and the dealer have given me a series of almost-new cars to drive, including an offered Taycan MY 2024, which I didn't take and instead have driven Macan and Cayennes.

I do appreciate the fact that they have paid for everything under warranty thus far, and given me a loaner car to drive.

However, it does make one ask questions about the sustainability of BEVs in general, and these ones in particular. It must be very expensive to repair these, and offer customers a loaner car for this long.

My battery failed early last month in my 2020 4 S with 33K miles. I was told because it was a 2020 they would be replacing the battery pack with a re-manufactured one from MY 2023 rather than repairing it. The whole episode took about a month. Getting the battery took 3 weeks alone. YMMV Good Luck. I am in the US.
