So my car went in for its UK brake recall yesterday. I got it back. No problems. I charged it last night in a pub round the corner from home as my garage is being rebuilt so no EV charger at the mo.

I got an alert on the connect app saying my car had stopped charging! So I went to see what was up? The car had a yellow warning on the dash saying electrical system warning. Inspection necessary.

The car wouldn’t go into gear. So I called Porsche assist and the AA came out. No joy. Disconnected the 12v battery, diagnosis resets etc. So the car ended up being collected on a low loader back to Newcastle Porsche. I’m so done with this car. It’s be a mare for a new car! Multiple issues, heater, software, boot lock failure, recalls, now this. I’m changing job in November so this will go back. I’m going to get a C63 or M3. Done with EV for a while. So disappointed.

sounds like my experience with first 03/22 Taycan 4S Cross Turismo - hopeless - so many faults the dealer and Porsche swapped for a new one in 03/23 since when apart from dealer inspired dash cam fault no issues at all apart from recalls.

Had the same problem after two years of ownership and exactly the same reaction. Probably your OBC onboard charger. It a very nice car to drive but if you have had all the know issues and more it is just tomuch to handle.

But it is a nice car when it drives. I may come back to the Taycan if the facelift has proved to be more reliable after a year or so.

Got a very nice compensation for all the trouble I had from Porsche yesterday at Spa Francorchamps.

Yup, amazing car to drive, worst car I’ve had. Had mine 2 years in July. Lots of issues. I won’t be getting another one for a while. I’m going to step off the EV thing for a few years. Let the tech catch up. Look at the next gen in a few years time. Can’t be arsed with this level of reliability from a car that cost £95k.

Had mine over a year now and fault free. It came with the new heater so the only recall has been for brake pipes which I'm waiting fo them to get the parts.

Mine is leased though company car scheme. If it wasn’t for me leaving the company in November I’d be pushing them to take it back and replace it. But that’s pointless for now. Such a shame. My first new built to my spec Porsche. Luckily I’m a Porsche geek so hasn’t put my off the wider brand. I’ll finish the resto of my 69 911! No tech to go wrong in that?

Love my 992 Turbo S - probably too much tech!
Really? Is it glitchy? I’ve only had aircooled 911’s. Nearly bought a 997 a few years back but sensible head kicked in. And wife whinged I had to many cars!

mines a 73 plate. Not glitchy at all and so much fun. Cancelled order so huge discount having got good price for previous Targa4S. Also nearly bought a 993 in 2002 and a 997 in 2009 but bought a sensible Audi S5 after sensible pressure!

haha I bought a S4 instead of the 997. I’ve had a 993 and sold it when my eldest was born! The 69 is a full resto. Marathon not a sprint. Welding is nearly done on it.

Can feel your pain in here... Just got back my 2020 4S from over 8 months repair.
Charged it once and stored it as I now need to wait 'consumer rights board' (not correct term I guess) to make their decision - if I can have annulment of the deal of it. It may take one year.
Faults in charger/booster, battery control, converter, battery cells, brake hoses...
I'm as well done with electrics for a 'while'. Now searching winter wheels for 997 C4.
Also thinking about having a GR Yaris for the winter use

Nightmare mate. Did you order it new? I got mine new in 2022 but it was a MY21 car. I’ve had wiring look replaced, boot locking mechanism replaced, info system repaired, heater failure, multiple dealer software updates, and the latest brake recall. All in all, crap. As said above amazing car to drive but so unreliable. Feel like we were beta testers. Back to good old internal combustion engine for me! Hope you get the result you need.

The 4S was having 17k (km) in it and was sold by a WD who got it from Madrid. So - pretty new on my standards but not brand new.
In my case the heater issue is still to come..
I wrote here earlier that this is the worst car I've ever had - with great margin. And in a way - best too. Looks like you share the feeling!
Wishing the very best for your 911T project!
Done few resto's too.
Next weekend will be with our Willys MB -43 which was surviving WW2 but destroyed in farming after latest war with russia. Slow project took ca. 40 years to bring it back on the road - now in 'museum vehicle' status.
