Interesting to compare your dates with mine... I haven't asked for an update for the last 9 days so don't know if I'm in production yet or if it starts tomorrow or further delayed.

Same here - I’m due to call into my dealer at the end of next week so will get the latest then. It does look like there’s rolling delays at the moment though.

Figure there’s not much more point torturing over predicted dates etc. any longer than necessary.

So it turns up when it turns up. ?

Indeed, I stopped expecting much months ago.
If I had known in July 2021 what I know now I would not have placed an order though.

I’ve now got a nice set of Turbo S black wheels with winter tyres in my sunroom to occasionally look at to keep the dream alive. ??

Unfortunately you are right. It doesn't stop me from checking TYD almost daily, but mostly to see if dates are changing or holding (I may be falsely assuming if they are holding and not moving backwards, it's a sign of progress). I don't fret over the changes however, already know the Taycan is not making it here this year, so if it shifts from February to May, so be it - winter driving is not as fun. If it goes past May, I may reconsider as I may have the right connections to get me a prioritized Lucid build. Twice the power (1,200+hp vs. 616hp) might end up my consolation prize.

Hard to argue with that but we wanted an EV as a main family car and I’m not sure what else we’d have got in tne meantime. We had a new Model X LR on order from Jan 21 but when they rang in April 21 to say it would be mid 23 minimum we decided to see if a Taycan CT would work size wise, I’m 6’5” so behind me isn’t great in general, and it did although the boys were 10 then and now are 12 and growing fast. Our Great Dane puppy fit in the boot too although he’s no longer a puppy either…

We didn’t like the X particularly but it made sense at the time. In the interim only the iX has shown up as a serious alternative and that has it’s own issues. Knowing we were getting away from SUVs was a big positive so I can’t see what else we’d have done bar maybe an Ioniq5.

First world problems…

I understand.
For me it would have been not bothering with a new car at all. It will be more fun on the open road than what I am driving but a lot wider so maybe not on a lot of the roads I use. I still have a sports car for fun but rarely use it now we have grandchildren often with us.

Just got a phone call to tell me my car is at the port. Marvellous.

Now I am investigating the winter wheels

Firstly congratulations, I know how good that call feels.

On the Winters, if you care I've gone for the latter of your 2 options, we initially went for the 19" aeros to maximise range but then when it came to lock in those Tequipment ones were available and look a lot better IMO while not looking nicer than the 20"Turbo Aeros I have for Summer. Winters get the heavy duty usage salted roads, grit, grime ice, and snow so I don't think it's worth going for really nice wheels like your first option.

Porsche Taycan BOSE Delays 1669034876013

Spotted them in a Bjorn Nyland video yesterday.

As ever, all a very personal thing, no right or wrong answer.

Amazing. It’s in the country finally. Do a little dance!! ?

I bought the set in your first link from Paul in parts at Porsche Chester. Decent bloke to deal with and competitive prices. My set were on Pirelli rubber, slightly different code 9J1 073 601 FA

Same wheels shod with Goodyear rubber is code “600 FA” at the end.

Thanks for that but they are the black with shiny bits version and I don’t like black wheels with shiny bits with machining marks on - yes my taste is unusual - but it rules out almost all Taycan wheels. The second ones I linked are only nice because they aren’t painted black before machining IMO.

Apologies - I had thought they were the same at first glance. I see the difference now!
