Brake Pad Indicator

I suspect my pads need changing, I’m getting a slight “wearing” noise not a grinding or squeaking but I would have thought they’d be some kind of warning light?

There is a warning light BUT as the mechanical brakes are only used primarily at less than about 10 mph, unless high g stopping, I would be amazed that the pads are worn. Quite common on carbon to have noises.

What kind of brakes do you have Steel, PSCB, or PCCB?
How many miles you have?
Do you think you are using physical brakes a lot?

The PSCB are known to create noise as if they need new pads under certain conditions.
