Hey everyone,

I'm looking at a build of a Taycan GTS, just seeing if there are any options I have missed off that would be classed as essential.

Also, another question, I have a 720s as my weekend / track / fast road car, the Taycan is replacing an F90 M5. Does anyone have any real world experience of the suspension stiffness over a 4S? I'm not looking for something to track and most fast drives out will be done in the McLaren, the Taycan will be my everyday car with a little bit of spirited driving, I'm looking for something that is more compliant and comfier for daily duties than the M5. The reason for looking at the GTS is that I'll be doing it on a finance deal through my business, but by the time I've built a 4S to the spec I want, the monthly payments are negligible compared to a GTS.

Here is the build:

Nice build and I love the total stealth of this thing.
Cosmetically I wouldn't waste money on the body colour mirror stalks. The matte black standard stalks will pick up the other matte black accents throughout the exterior. The mirror uppers and lowers are body coloured as standard on GTS. Your only paying for the stalks and I got one prefer the subtle contrast there.
Also I wouldn't spec the passenger display, but that's a nice you if you wish ...
Otherwise a nice spec, very restrained considering how mad one can go on the config!
I've a lot more stuff on mine, but of course I don't have a 720s ?.
For ref my "current" GTS iteration is PNHTDRR4 but that is subject to tweaks before build locks...

I really like the passenger display, it was a must have for me but I understand it's not essential. I may add on the Electric Charging Cover and remove the body colour mirrors, as the build is on Jet Black I didn't actually realise it's only the stalk that isn't colour coded on the GTS. I also need to add the charging cable. It was a tossup for me between the PSCB and the PDCC as both are a similar price and it take it over budget to have both. Didn't want to go too crazy, my budget has already gone from the £85k RWD build I did originally to a £117k GTS build.

Very easy to spec up, but difficult to come down...
Something else I forgot earlier, having now had HUD on my 4s, I never would have specced it originally buti wouldn't go without it now. It's great.
I never look at the displays inside the cabin now. Reliant on the HUD. It's expensive, but it really lifts the user experience imho

If you're not going to track the GTS, then I'd remove the PDCC. It was hard to notice any difference between the GTS (no PDCC) and Turbo S (with PDCC) which i test drove. I'd add the electric charge ports and the VLC roof in place of PDCC. VLC is the highlight of the 2022 model year, IMO.

It looks like you're going for stealth mode, but the Porsche logo in glacier blue really stands out nicely with your config.

Black leather interior over racetex for daily usability?
Mirror painted in ext. color is a bit redundant. Maybe considered mirror base in gloss black for a more premium feel.

i’ve limited experience of the 4S or the GTS, but from my actual time in each (2 hours in total) I did not notice much difference in comfort between the two and I felt the. GTS had a much better ride than my existing RS4 (and I drove the GTS in Sports Plus mode for the majority of the time).

I would not worry on this score.

I like your “Darth Vader” specification - maybe black brake discs as well?

Personally I’d skip PDCC and put over £2k back into your back account!
;)
