I would say no. Only the three functions mentioned on the Porsche Connect Store are seeing a usability increase. I would imagine the rest of the connectivity options are bottlenecked at the Porsche servers anyhow.

I would agree with this, because car connectivity still seems to work, but Apple Music/Podcasts don't, nor does the hotspot internet.

The car lifeline to the mothership seems to be separate.

Apple Music/Podcasts remain disabled, and the hotspot remains "on/available" but does not work when you attempt to browse with it.

I was kinda hoping that today being a "business day" Verizon might manually unstick something on their side but, no luck.

I spent some time with Porsche customer support today - kudos for that experience as the rep was available right away, very knowledgeable, and ran through many steps before concluding the problem needed escalation.

Will update when I know more. I am actually encouraged by the fact that enabling the wifi hotspot killed the Apple services; this gives me some confidence they are now pointing to a different data source than the default car link.

Streaming services still dead, Wifi hotspot still has no internet access.

At this point I wish I hadn't tried, because at least I'd have crappy/unreliable streaming vs none

Does anyone else use the wifi hotspot feature and if so did you have issues turning it on?

This morning...it started working!

The wifi hotspot works AND the Apple Music/Podcasts are back.

Not only are they back, they work better than ever! The "Loading Data" screens are super short now. Browsing the lists is faster, and I haven't had a playback hiccup at all.

If you hate your PCM streaming performance, consider trying the hotspot feature to boost the throughput - it definitely improved my experience. Just be patient as it apparently takes about a week to go live...not sure if my trouble ticket against this issue solved the issue or just time did.
