I recently purchased a CPO 2024 Taycan. Loving the car so far. It's my daily driver.

My building doesn't have a garage so I purchased an outdoor Porsche Car Cover. I love the design of the cover, especially the integral stuff sack, but after a couple of weeks of daily use, it's starting to come apart at the seams -- literally! Thankfully the online store I bought it from will take it back.

Has anyone else had similar problems with the Porsche Car Cover?

Anyone have an outdoor car cover that they love and would recommend?

I'm considering the Sunbrella Car Cover as a replacement. Anyone have experience (good or bad) with Sunbrella covers?

Thanks!

It’s a well known brand and I’d assume it would be top of the line.

I assumed the same thing but it turns out it's not the best for my application. I found the chart accompanying this CoverCraft FAQ very helpful. I don't have snow where I am. Sun, dirt and dust are my major concerns.

Ultimately I chose "5-Layer All Climate". WeatherShield HP was tempting but nearly twice the cost.

I've used both Covercraft and California Car Covers for multiple cars over the past 20 years. I've found that California Car Covers seems to have a slightly better pattern (fit) for some of their cars, like our W222 S550, the Covercraft version seemed a little short, the mirror pockets were causing the cover to sit strangely. I got a Cal Car cover for the Taycan GTS (the Superweave HD in a 2 tone - black sides and gray center - hides the wheel dirt on the cover better) and I've been very happy with it, it's light weight, rolls into a compact space and offers good UV, bird dropping and dust protection. I've also gotten some of the indoor covers from Cal Car Cover for my E39 M5 and Lotus Elise and been very happy with them - great fit. I just ordered a custom pattern for my Jeep Gladiator with a camper shell and while both can accommodate that request, Covercraft really made it difficult to order, so I went with Cal again. They both use many of the same fabrics, including Sunbrella, so look at pricing and customer service/responsiveness to differentiate.
