Hey !

It looks like my Taycan isn't picking up the best cellular service provider were I live (the one picked up has a very poor reception..). That's an issue I had with my previous car (Audi), but I was able to insert my own SIM card back then, so I could use another provider..

Is there any way to manually change that setting in the Taycan ? I didn't find anything in the PCM, but maybe a Porsche dealer would be able to make such a change ?

Taycan uses a eSIM from Cubic Telecom - an Irish company. Effectively every Taycan in Europe is always roaming.

Generally the roaming partner in each country is the “main” mobile provider. You cannot change who that is unfortunately.

That’s what I guessed based on the infos I could found… Unfortunately here in France, the selected roaming partner isn’t the « main » mobile provider, they selected one that has a pretty bad coverage in a lot of regions..

Too bad we can’t change that

I have the same issue with the mobile network. It is SFR and it is really a bad coverage. The best network is Orange with very good coverage in France.

I had hoped there would be a way to change network provider!

I have the same issue, in the USA. I have great WiFi in my garage, but zero cellular network with my new Taycan's default provider Verizon. T-Mobile has great reception.

Is there a way to connect the Taycan to my home WiFi? How about to another mobile data provider other than the default?

I agree with you- I have been asking for a wi-fi connection ever since I got my 21 4S - solves a lot of cellular connection problems and is apperantly available in one country - Russia… don’t know why they don’t allow this anywhere else.. seems nonsensical to me.
