Did an experiment

51kwh charge session took 24 min in non preconditioned car. Summer, battery temp was about 22deg

53 kWh charge took 16min in preconditioned state. Set nav in pcm about 40 miles from charger. Went from 22degC to 35degC.

both were ionity chargers.

I was impressed. Importantly when in pcm nav mode, Waze was not navigating but was calling out speed cameras.

Slow charge speeds from what I assume was a 350kW EVSE.

No info provided on battery SoC prior to each charging session.

Gen 1.1 Taycan with older battery tech and battery chemistry with a shortened peak charging profile.

Results are what I'd reasonably expect so no surprise.

This is how I use both the PCM nav and Waze at the same time. In the main screen I have Waze showing me alerts, and on the dashboard and HUD the PCM nav is giving me directions.

I haven't seen 265kW charging in a while... possibly since the 3885 PCM update.
I've reached 200kW for a short while last weekend at a Porsche charger; but not a bit more. Despite the battery being at 35°C and <40% charge. Which should be ideal for fast charging.

You need to be around 10% to see anyhing above 240kw.
8-12% from my experience will give you 270kw or even over that, until about 30-35%.
If you don't start around 8-12%, it won't give you that. Even starting at 20%, it will only take 240kw max. Starting below 8% will also not give you max charging speed for some reason.

I got last weekend on my way back from basel at a gofast charger 276kw

I assume you already checked if you have the battery saving turned on? It might be worthwhile to turn it on and off again, as some settings forget their state once in a while
