Impressive. I didn't know about this product.A Tesla Mobile Connector with 5 240V plugs and 4 120V plugs, add a NACS to J1172 adapter, and you'll still be under the $600 Porsche offered as part of this recall (and be able to plug in to almost any outlet you can find in wild in North America, and it won't overheat on you, and .... drumroll please - with all of these adapters it will still weigh less and take less room in your car than a stock PMC+/PMCC!).
this is a fabulous road-warrior EV kit and my personal goto for a mobile EVSE - it's simply great, it's small, it's light, it's high quality, very flexible on the NEMA socket choices, runs cool, and always works…and it's the best value mobile EVSE on the market today - excellent price, performance, quality and feature set.Gotta love Porsche pricing for the cable as compared to competition. A single cable from Porsche is more expensive (MSRP $305.45) than a set of 7 cables from Tesla (MSRP $245) which comes with a bag too (and yes, they all have thermal sensors in the plugs). Four 240V plus three 120V cables and a bag at Porsche totals $1868.80. So almost 8x the price at Porsche, which seems in line with their EVSE prices as well (these are just he pigtail adapters). Is this the Porsche tax, or just lack of vertical integration (so many levels of middlemen taking their cut)?

Good points. A couple of counters:this is a fabulous road-warrior EV kit and my personal goto for a mobile EVSE - it's simply great, it's small, it's light, it's high quality, very flexible on the NEMA socket choices, runs cool, and always works…and it's the best value mobile EVSE on the market today - excellent price, performance, quality and feature set.
it however MUST be noted it's a 32 amp (7.68 kW) EVSE - not a 40 amp (9.6 kw) EVSE - so on NEMA 14-50/6-50 outlets it is slightly down on power - but acceptable - and all the other NEMA adatper the NEMA socket itself is the "limiting" factory NOT the 32 amp limit of this UNIT
great great great option IMHO
basically for $700-$800 you can have this and a TeslaTap and a full range of NEMA adapters and charge _ANYWHERE_ and it's smaller and lighter than the Porsche unit! it's an excellent excellent choice as a mobile EVSE if you need/want such a thing.
