I just got my 2020 Taycan S back from the software upgrade and after figuring out how to reinstall Apple Music I have run into a more serious problem. When I hooked my car up to the charger—a JuiceNet @ 50 watts (never had a problem before) I get a charging error message and car will not charge. It is set for a profile of 85% to begin charging at 11:30 pm. I unplugged and plugged back in—same issue. I was successful in charging the car with a direct charge and an immediate start. Anyone else have this problem or a solution to fix?

Shit, sorry to hear. My car is still at dealer - day 3 tomorrow. I can only imagine what I will be facing when I get it back...

Have you tried another charger or DC charging? Have you tried both left and right ports?
I don't think it is a coincidence but it is good to know if your car cannot charge at all.

I can charge the car via direct charge. Whatever the issue is must have something to do with profiles and delayed start. I do not believe that it is charger related as I had no issues until the software upgrade and my car will charge with the DC charger, just not with a profile or a delayed start.

Try deleting the charging profile, then turn off the car, lock and take the key far away for 15 minutes. Then recreate the profile..

Did not work. Going to take the car back first thing in the morning. I don’t trust the car if I can’t charge it.

Part of the software upgrade was intended to address charging profiles / timers. It could be that the "fix" is now not compatible with your non-Porsche charger.

I had timer profiles for ore heat set only. They did not work after update. Deleted from connect and redid them after a few minutes. Now working fine. Could be related to your charge issue?

Update-I got my car back from the dealer and they could find no errors. I then called Enel X, the maker of Juice Net. After spending sometime with tech support, they believe there is a conflict with the timer on the Porsche Profile v. the timer on Juice Net. We turned off the Porsche Timer and still received the charging error. We then changed the timer for Juice Net to come on in about two minutes while I was talking to tech support--even though the car showed a charging error, as soon as the selected time to charge was reached, the car started to charge normally. I am going to charge the car overnight and see what happens. If it works I will just ignore the charging error message. If the car does not charge properly, I will go back to the Porsche charger.

I prefer my charger (EVSE the external part of the charging solution) to be dumb for exactly this reason - when the external chargers are too clever they trip up the "in car" charging software.

give me a big dumb EVSE every time - and leave the software/complexity to the vehicle.

The update was supposed to improve compatibility with 3rd party chargers. I guess not JuiceBox which is in the US top 3 chargers
